Michelle Hanson was supposed to handle a child support moderation case for me, but she showed up to court with an order asking the judge to let her withdraw from my case due to irreconcilable differences. The only differences we had were that I asked her to do some work for my case and she refused and ignored requests when sent by email or by phone call. At least 5 attempts were made to contact her before the court date and she replied zero times. During the negotiation with the mother of my child, Ms. Hansen had to be asked multiple times which parent she represents because she gave advice to the wrong party. She was unprofessional, showed up late, produced zero results, and should never be allowed to represent another paying customer. The judge agreed she provided zero service for her client and told her she was not allowed to bill me further. But that didn’t return my retainer deposit of $500. My advice is for anyone considering her services to insist on payment after the case is handled. This was my worst experience with any attorney. Now, years later the firm says she is no longer there. Did she retire or get fired? Who knows? I saw no attempt to remediate my situation or reimburse my retainer. What a horrible law firm in general. Thanks for the update but it was completely useless without context and a refund of my $500.

The physical environment of Sabuco Beck, P.C.'s office, situated on Essington Road in Joliet, suggests a local presence within the community. However, specific details about the office ambiance or facilities are not mentioned in the provided reviews. For local users who value a particular office atmosphere or accessibility, a direct visit or inquiry might be necessary to assess whether the environment meets their expectations.
Based on the limited information from customer reviews, Sabuco Beck, P.C. appears to handle various legal matters, including child support moderation and other potentially complicated cases. One review specifically mentions Mr. Beck's assistance in winning a "complicated" case, indicating experience in navigating the court system and managing complex legal situations. This suggests that the firm may possess the expertise to handle intricate legal challenges in different areas of law. However, the specific range of services offered by Sabuco Beck, P.C. is not fully detailed in the provided reviews, requiring potential clients to make direct inquiries to understand their complete scope of practice.
The reviews present a mixed perspective on the features and client experience at Sabuco Beck, P.C. One positive aspect highlighted is the helpful and courteous nature of Mr. Beck's secretary, Donna, who is mentioned as being consistently supportive. Effective administrative support can significantly enhance a client's experience with a law firm, ensuring smooth communication and efficient handling of administrative tasks.
However, a significant concern is raised in another review regarding the conduct of a former attorney at the firm, Michelle Hanson. The client recounts a deeply negative experience involving a child support moderation case where Ms. Hanson allegedly failed to perform work, ignored communication attempts, exhibited unprofessional behavior in court (including confusion about which party she represented and lateness), and ultimately withdrew from the case due to "irreconcilable differences." The judge reportedly agreed that no service was provided and disallowed further billing, but the client was not reimbursed their $500 retainer deposit. This experience raises serious questions about client communication, professional responsibility, and the firm's oversight of its attorneys at the time.
The same review also notes the firm's subsequent acknowledgment that Ms. Hanson is no longer with them, without providing details about the circumstances of her departure (retirement or termination). The client expresses dissatisfaction with the lack of remediation or reimbursement of their retainer, further impacting their overall perception of the firm. This highlights the importance of a law firm's commitment to addressing client grievances and ensuring fair resolution of disputes.
Despite the negative experience with the former attorney, the positive review regarding Mr. Beck's successful handling of a complicated case suggests that other attorneys within the firm may provide competent and effective legal representation. The ability to manage complex legal issues and guide clients through the court system are valuable features. Potential clients need to discern which attorney within the firm would be handling their case and consider the individual track record and reputation of that specific attorney.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Sabuco Beck, P.C. based on the provided data. This means there are no mentions of special offers or unique service features designed to attract new clients. Individuals interested in learning about the firm's fee structure or any potential promotions would need to contact them directly.
For local users searching for "Lawyers Near Me," Sabuco Beck, P.C. is a local option with a physical address and contact information. However, the significant negative review regarding a former attorney necessitates careful consideration. Potential clients should inquire about the attorneys currently practicing at the firm, their respective areas of expertise, and their individual track records. It would be prudent to ask about the firm's client communication policies and their approach to handling client concerns. While one client reported a positive outcome with Mr. Beck, the negative experience shared by another serves as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the importance of thorough due diligence when selecting legal representation.
In conclusion, Sabuco Beck, P.C. is a law firm located in Joliet, Illinois, with contact numbers (815) 730-8860 and +1 815-730-8860. While one client review praises Mr. Beck's handling of a complex case and the helpfulness of his secretary, another details a severely negative experience with a former attorney at the firm, citing unprofessional conduct, lack of communication, and unresolved financial issues. For local users considering Sabuco Beck, P.C., it is crucial to conduct thorough inquiries about the attorneys currently with the firm and their individual reputations, as well as the firm's client service policies, before making a decision.
