Don’t expect them to call you back. I completed the online intake and was able to provide a lot of detail. I called twice to follow up. Our family is well versed in who to use for legal advice. We thought it would be easier to deal with an attorney in Lehigh County as that is where my aunt is and I am her POA. Go elsewhere.

Specific details about the physical environment of Schoffstall Elder Law are not available online. However, elder law practices typically prioritize creating a comfortable and accessible environment for clients who may have mobility challenges or require a more relaxed setting. As a local resource within the "Lawyers Near Me" platform, Schoffstall Elder Law aims to be a conveniently located and approachable legal service provider for the Orefield and surrounding communities.
Based on the limited information available from customer reviews, Schoffstall Elder Law appears to specialize in areas such as Medicaid planning and assistance with special needs individuals. One particularly positive review highlights the remarkable efficiency of Sally Schoffstall in securing Medicaid approval for a special needs cousin within an exceptionally short timeframe of just four days, including a weekend. This suggests a high level of expertise and effectiveness in navigating the Medicaid system, which can often be a complex and time-consuming process. This positive experience underscores the firm's potential to provide timely and successful outcomes for clients seeking Medicaid benefits for themselves or their loved ones.
However, another review presents a contrasting experience regarding the firm's responsiveness. This reviewer expresses frustration with a lack of follow-up after completing an online intake form and making two subsequent phone calls. The reviewer, who was seeking legal advice for their aunt as her Power of Attorney and preferred a local attorney in Lehigh County, ultimately recommends looking elsewhere due to the perceived lack of communication. This suggests a potential inconsistency in client communication or intake processes, which could be a point of concern for prospective clients.
Considering these limited yet divergent reviews, the features of Schoffstall Elder Law are somewhat ambiguous. The positive review strongly indicates expertise in Medicaid and special needs planning, coupled with an ability to achieve rapid results in at least some cases. The mention of a Zoom meeting suggests that the firm utilizes modern communication methods to serve clients. Sally Schoffstall is specifically praised for her effectiveness and is highly recommended by the satisfied client. Conversely, the negative review points to a potential issue with responsiveness and client communication, particularly during the initial contact phase. This suggests that while the firm may possess expertise in elder law, their administrative or client intake processes might need improvement to ensure consistent and timely communication with all potential clients.
In terms of promotional information, the positive review serves as a powerful testimonial for the firm's ability to deliver quick and successful outcomes in Medicaid cases. The enthusiastic recommendation and the description of Sally Schoffstall as the "BEST ATTORNEY EVER!" act as strong endorsements. This review implicitly promotes the firm's efficiency, expertise in Medicaid for special needs individuals, and the positive results they can achieve for their clients. The negative review, however, serves as a cautionary note, highlighting a potential lack of communication and responsiveness, which could deter potential clients.
For local users browsing "Lawyers Near Me" and considering Schoffstall Elder Law, it is essential to acknowledge the limited and conflicting nature of the available feedback. The firm's apparent expertise in Medicaid and special needs planning, as evidenced by the rapid Medicaid approval, is a significant potential benefit for those requiring these specific services. However, the reported lack of responsiveness in the initial contact phase is a factor that potential clients should consider. It may be prudent to attempt direct contact with the firm to assess their current responsiveness and to inquire about their processes for client communication and intake.
Given the specialized nature of elder law, which often involves complex legal and financial considerations related to aging, healthcare, and long-term care, finding an attorney with specific expertise in these areas is crucial. Schoffstall Elder Law's focus on elder law suggests that they possess the specialized knowledge required to assist with issues such as estate planning, Medicaid and Medicare planning, guardianship, and special needs trusts. For local residents in Orefield and the surrounding areas seeking assistance with these specific legal needs, Schoffstall Elder Law may be a viable option, particularly if they can address the concerns raised about initial communication.
Prospective clients may benefit from contacting Schoffstall Elder Law directly to discuss their specific needs and to gauge the firm's responsiveness and communication practices firsthand. Asking about their intake process and expected timelines for follow-up could help set clear expectations. While the positive review is compelling in its praise for the firm's effectiveness in Medicaid matters, it is important for potential clients to feel confident in the firm's communication and client service throughout the legal process. Further research or direct engagement with Schoffstall Elder Law may be necessary to determine if their services align with individual needs and expectations.
