I can not recommend her at all. She aided the opposing side. My daughter's rights could have been terminated! She encouraged my daughter to sign an unlawful improper document as an admission of guilt. Fortunately I caught this. I refused to allow my daughter to get set up or falsely accused. My daughter was being unfairly treated and disrespected by Judge Harris on the witness stand. Shelley did nothing to stop that. (Please see rip off report under Genevieve Barr). My grandbaby suffered as a result of all actions.

For direct contact, the office phone number is (817) 590-0255, and the mobile phone number is +1 817-590-0255.

According to information available from the State Bar of Texas, Shelley A. Cooper is a solo practitioner, with her primary practice location listed as North Richland Hills. Her Texas Bar Card Number is 00790498, and her license date is November 4, 1994, indicating a significant tenure in the legal profession since that time. She is admitted to practice in the Federal Texas Northern District Court.

The core practice area for Shelley A. Cooper, as identified by the State Bar of Texas and other legal directories, is Family Law. This specialization suggests that she assists clients with a range of sensitive and often emotionally charged legal issues that impact families. While specific details on the depth of her services within family law are not extensively publicized, this typically includes areas such as:

  • Divorce: Legal dissolution of marriage, including property division and spousal support.

  • Child Custody: Determining arrangements for the care, control, and upbringing of children following separation or divorce.

  • Child Support: Establishing and enforcing financial obligations for the support of children.

  • Modifications: Adjusting existing court orders related to custody, visitation, or child support due to significant changes in circumstances.

The physical environment of Shelley A. Cooper's office, situated in a professional suite on Mid Cities Blvd, suggests a standard legal office setting. While specifics regarding amenities or aesthetic are not readily available, the address indicates a presence within a commercial area, likely offering accessibility for clients in North Richland Hills and neighboring cities within Tarrant County.

Regarding client feedback, the provided reviews offer a strong and specific perspective. Two identical reviews express severe dissatisfaction with the services provided by Shelley A. Cooper. The client states, "I can not recommend her at all. My grandbaby suffered as a result of all actions."

These reviews raise serious concerns regarding representation, specifically alleging that the attorney "aided the opposing side," encouraged the signing of an "unlawful improper document," and failed to protect the client's daughter from alleged unfair treatment and disrespect by the judge on the witness stand. The client explicitly states that their daughter's rights "could have been terminated" and links the negative outcome to the attorney's actions, noting that their "grandbaby suffered as a result of all actions." This feedback suggests a perception of a lack of advocacy and a failure to protect the client's interests, particularly in a high-stakes family law matter involving parental rights.

From the information available, the features and promotional aspects of Shelley A. Cooper's practice include her long-standing presence in the Texas legal community since 1994, with a primary focus on family law. The State Bar of Texas lists "Payment Plans: Yes" as a fee option, indicating that she may offer flexible payment arrangements to clients, though it is noted that such arrangements must be agreed upon by the attorney and client and may not be available for all cases. The fee options also include flat fees and hourly rates, which are common billing structures in legal services.

It is important for prospective clients searching for legal services through "Lawyers Near Me" to consider all available information, including practice areas, professional credentials, and client feedback. The provided reviews are highly critical and should be carefully considered by anyone contemplating engaging Shelley A. Cooper's services, particularly in sensitive family law matters involving child custody or parental rights. In such cases, thorough due diligence, including consultations and detailed discussions about legal strategy and client expectations, becomes particularly important.

In summary, Shelley A. Cooper operates a solo legal practice in North Richland Hills, Texas, primarily focusing on family law. She has been licensed to practice in Texas since 1994 and is admitted to the Federal Texas Northern District Court. While she offers common fee options, including payment plans, prospective clients should be aware of the provided negative client reviews, which allege significant concerns regarding client advocacy and representation in a family law case.

Divorce litigation is never fun or is it easy. However, as my attorney, Ms. Cooper and her staff were helpful and responsive to all my questions and provided excellent service. She negotiated on my behalf when it was tough and when needed. She is smart, realistic, efficient, pleasant, and very experienced: all the qualities that you want in a divorce attorney. Ms. Cooper demonstrated professionalism and personal attention to all details and concerns. Far from ordinary and very conscientious, she performs her job with diligence, and respect. I cannot say enough. She is a high performance lawyer.

I am a family law attorney in Tarrant County, Texas. I have practiced against Ms. Cooper for 20 years. She affectionately calls me trouble. However, she is "double trouble" for anyone that opposes her. She is knowledgeable, friendly, approachable, diligent and most of all effective. Though I have 20 years of family law experience she is the "go to" girl when I have a question and she has the experience and answers. She is a mentor and friend to some of the most experienced family law attorneys in Dallas and Fort Worth. If she can advise me concerning the the most difficult legal issues that I encounter then I feel confident that she can help anyone. There are many not so good family law attorneys out there, either they lack experience, they are just not that good and/or they just don't care. Ms. Cooper is good at what she does, effective in court and genuinely cares about people. She is one of the good ones that should be consulted before deciding on and hiring a family law attorney. I believe she offers a free or reduced cost initial consultation. I would highly recommend that a person seeking legal counsel consult with her before making a final decision on their representation as a good attorney can really help alleviate a bad legal situation.

Absolutely the worst attorney if you are a father. She intentionally screws up paperwork (messes up names, incorrect addresses, mispells information) so that she can redo it, and take out things the fathers wanted in the papers. Guys READ the paperwork everytime!!! Such a fraud, and one sided... horrible person.
