I, and another party tried to talk to him and present him documents about material misrepresentation of fact on documents submitted to court by a person that was going for conservatorship of a vulnerable adult client he was representing. He outright refused to speak with us or look at the documents saying to us he doesn't work for us (no worry there...I wouldn't hire him to do anything if you paid me!). He instead ignored us completely and left the area with the lawyer for the person that intentionally misrepresented fact to the court. As soon as I introduced myself, hos face appeared angry I was there. Doesn't that give you a feeling of confidence in him representing your best interest? Not. He appeared only interested in getting the case off his desk, instead of making sure her Trust (her legal documented desires prior to dementia) was adhered to, which he is required to do as her legal representative. It will bite him someday. Nope, I wouldn't rely on him.

Storey Law Office Introduce

For individuals in Apple Valley, Minnesota, and the surrounding communities seeking legal services, Storey Law Office, located at 277 Coon Rapids Blvd NW Suite 310 in Coon Rapids, MN, offers legal representation. While Coon Rapids is a neighboring city, Storey Law Office is accessible to those searching for "Lawyers Near Me" in the broader metropolitan area. They can be contacted at (763) 575-7066 or via their mobile number, +1 763-575-7066.

Based on the limited information available, Storey Law Office appears to handle estate planning matters, as indicated by one positive client review. This area of law typically involves drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives to help individuals plan for the distribution of their assets and make decisions about their medical care in the event of incapacity. The negative review suggests the firm may also handle conservatorship cases, which involve legal proceedings to appoint someone to manage the financial affairs and/or personal care of an individual deemed incapable of doing so themselves, often a vulnerable adult.

The customer reviews for Storey Law Office present a stark contrast in client experiences. One reviewer expresses significant dissatisfaction with their interaction, alleging that the attorney outright refused to speak with them or review documents related to a potential material misrepresentation of fact in a conservatorship case involving a vulnerable adult client the attorney was representing. This reviewer, along with another party, attempted to present this information, seemingly concerned about the client's best interests and the adherence to the client's pre-dementia documented wishes (Trust). The reviewer perceived the attorney as uninterested in ensuring the Trust was followed and primarily focused on closing the case rather than advocating for the client's documented desires. They also noted an apparent negative reaction from the attorney upon introduction, questioning his commitment to representing his client's best interests and expressing a lack of confidence in him. This negative experience leads the reviewer to strongly advise against relying on this attorney.

In contrast, another client shares a positive experience, stating that Storey Law Office assisted their mother with her estate plan and that they were "very happy to have the help navigating through the whole process." This reviewer expresses gratitude for making the process "a bit less painful," suggesting a positive and supportive experience with the firm's estate planning services.

The divergent nature of these reviews highlights the potential for varied client experiences with Storey Law Office. The positive review indicates satisfactory service in estate planning, suggesting competence and helpfulness in this area. However, the negative review raises serious concerns about the attorney's responsiveness to potential issues, his willingness to consider information from external parties concerned about a vulnerable client, and his perceived priorities in a conservatorship case. These are critical considerations for potential clients, particularly those involved in or concerned about elder law matters such as conservatorship and trust administration.

For individuals in Apple Valley seeking "Lawyers Near Me" who handle estate planning, Storey Law Office in Coon Rapids appears to be a local option that has provided positive experiences for some clients in this area. The positive review specifically mentions help navigating the estate planning process, which can be complex and emotionally challenging. This suggests that the firm may offer guidance and support to clients in creating wills, trusts, and other essential estate planning documents.

However, the negative review, while pertaining to a specific situation involving a conservatorship case, raises important questions about the firm's approach to complex or potentially contentious situations and their willingness to engage with external parties who have concerns about a client's welfare. Potential clients involved in or anticipating the need for conservatorship services, or those concerned about the administration of trusts for vulnerable adults, should carefully consider this feedback and potentially seek further information or consultations to assess the firm's suitability for their specific needs.

Given the limited scope of information and the conflicting reviews, it is difficult to provide comprehensive promotional information for Storey Law Office. The positive review could be used to highlight their helpfulness and ability to ease the burden of estate planning. However, the serious concerns raised in the negative review necessitate caution. For individuals in the Apple Valley area considering Storey Law Office for any legal needs, particularly those involving vulnerable adults or trust administration, it would be prudent to conduct thorough due diligence, ask detailed questions about their approach to such cases, and potentially seek references or additional reviews if available. Contacting Storey Law Office at (763) 575-7066 or +1 763-575-7066 for an initial consultation could provide an opportunity to discuss specific legal needs and assess the firm's suitability.

In conclusion, Storey Law Office in Coon Rapids, MN, serves the broader Apple Valley area and appears to handle estate planning and potentially conservatorship matters. While one client reports a positive experience with estate planning, another raises significant concerns about the attorney's handling of a conservatorship-related situation, particularly regarding responsiveness and client advocacy. Potential clients using the "Lawyers Near Me" platform should carefully consider both perspectives and conduct thorough research to determine if Storey Law Office meets their specific legal needs and expectations.

My mom had her estate plan written up and we were very happy to have the help navigating through the whole process. Thank you for making the process a bit less painful.

These people are very rude and disrespectful they hung up in my moms face 4 times and finally they just told her "we are too busy." which really meant "we think you have no money so kick rocks." in actuality she has well enough to pay so they have lost a customer. If you want to waste your time then i would definitely suggest these people, otherwise take your business else where

This was the second time Mr. Storey helped us. The first was for a will, the second was for a trust and getting all the paperwork together for our senior year
