Wes sold me/led me to believe I was in good hands since he'd been through a recent custody/visitation/support battle himeself. He was the "shark" I was looking for behind closed doors... then, the yellow flags... He missed very important emails he claimed he didn't receive from the court offering earlier dates for our trial (going on for 2+ years at this time). I found he wasn't honest about it when he mistakenly including me on a thread where it sat in his inbox for days and didn't reply until I approached him about it 6-7 business days later asking if he responded to the clerk abou the dates. Because he wasn't on top of it (and dishonest), he then dragged my case out for 11+ more months ($$$) with phonecalls, visits, subpoena'd evidence and witnesses, etc. building me up to have confidence we can win for my 3 year old son. Finally... my case, 2 weeks around the corner. I was deeply dissappointed (and scared) how unorganized he was several last minute requests. He put most of it on me to bring/email him this and that, meet several times 1 and 2 days just prior to trial ($$), provide him evidence I'd already sent him that he didn't organize for trial in an e-file as we went along (lots of texts/emails for proof of important matters). I had to pull all-nighters accumulating evidence he had not organized to back his "talk". Then, SHOW-TIME, Wes was a nervous wreck! He could barely speak or look at me. My confidence was shot for all 5-6 hours of trial that I've been waiting over 2 years for. His plan for me/us in court wasn't even close to how poorly he followed through for me as if he was scared to speak up and clarify extremely important matters. I needed him to be my all-star and he was a bench warmer. He was not a voice for me. I learned quickly (and too late) he wasn't as near adiquate as he portrayed while building my case for my son's best interest (since he was 6 months). During trial, Wes went silent, he didn't speak up to the GAL's awful last minute recommendation like he said he would with supporting evidence knowing the GAL didn't capture the problems at hand with Dad as well as my son's needs... why a 2-2-3 rotating schedule is the most awful schedule for parents in high-conflict and needs for a toddler with special needs to have consistency and stability. Furthermore, Wes didn't investigate our witnesses as we discussed to support our case to prove the father is a selfish gaslighting sociapath narcissist. Wes didn't ever speak to the Judge when she asked if we had questions or wanted to share anything else of importance... Wes wasn't focused, he froze! He wasn't prepared. He also seemed to be worried about his political capital within the courts, perhaps he didn't want to upset the Judge because of his next trial other other cases? He came out of the court building with the opposing attorney laughing and giggling, talking about their plans for the summer RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME while I was crying my eyes out, feeling crushed and defeated. Back at square 1 with an appeal/denovo, interviewing attorney's ($$$) strongly seeking a genuine, secure, honest, focused attorney with confidence for me and my son's case.

Stuart Simon Law Firm Introduce

Stuart Simon Law Firm, situated at 4900 Cutshaw Ave in Richmond, VA 23230, serves the legal needs of the local community. As a participant in the "Lawyers Near Me" platform, the firm aims to provide accessible legal services to residents and businesses in the Richmond area. The available information includes contact details and two contrasting client reviews, which offer insights into the experiences of individuals who have worked with the firm.

The physical environment of Stuart Simon Law Firm, located on Cutshaw Avenue, suggests a professional setting within Richmond. This location is likely convenient for clients residing or working in the city. A law firm's office typically provides a confidential and professional atmosphere for client meetings and legal consultations, ensuring a space where sensitive matters can be discussed with privacy and trust. The specific ambiance and facilities of the office are not detailed in the provided information, but clients can likely expect a standard professional office environment.

Based on the limited information, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive list of all services offered by Stuart Simon Law Firm. However, the client reviews give some indication of the areas of law the firm handles. One review pertains to a "custody/visitation/support battle," suggesting that the firm provides services in family law. This case involved a protracted legal process spanning over two years and ultimately led to a trial. The other review describes a situation involving criminal charges, including a felony, which were ultimately dropped before trial, indicating that the firm also handles criminal defense matters.

The features of Stuart Simon Law Firm, as perceived through the lens of the client reviews, present a mixed picture. One client initially felt they were in "good hands" and described the attorney they worked with, Wes, as the "shark" they were looking for. This suggests an initial impression of confidence and strong representation. However, this same review details significant issues, including missed communications, perceived dishonesty, delays in the case, disorganization leading up to trial, and a lack of effective advocacy in court. The client expressed deep disappointment and a lack of confidence in the representation received during a crucial custody trial.

In contrast, the second review offers a positive perspective, highlighting the firm's ability to achieve a favorable outcome in a criminal case. The client facing multiple charges, including a felony, praised Mr. Simon for being upfront, providing clear options, conducting background work, communicating with the prosecutor's office, and ultimately getting the case dropped before trial. This client also noted excellent communication and what they felt were fair prices, emphasizing the invaluable nature of securing one's freedom.

Given these contrasting experiences, potential clients may perceive the Stuart Simon Law Firm as having the capacity to achieve positive results in certain areas, such as criminal defense, as indicated by the successful case dismissal. However, the detailed negative review regarding a family law case raises concerns about the firm's organization, communication, and effectiveness in complex and lengthy litigation. It suggests that experiences may vary depending on the specific attorney within the firm handling the case and the nature of the legal matter.

Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the text. However, the positive review regarding the criminal case could be seen as a testament to the firm's ability to handle serious charges effectively. The client's emphasis on "great work," "excellent communication," and the successful outcome of having charges dropped before trial serves as a positive endorsement for their criminal defense services. Conversely, the detailed negative review serves as a cautionary note regarding other areas of practice or the consistency of service provided.

For local users in Richmond, VA, considering Stuart Simon Law Firm, it is advisable to weigh both the positive and negative feedback. The firm is located at a convenient address on Cutshaw Avenue and can be contacted at (804) 257-7233 or +1 804-257-7233. Individuals seeking legal assistance in areas such as criminal defense may find the positive review encouraging. However, those with family law matters, particularly complex and lengthy cases, should carefully consider the detailed negative experience shared by another client. It would be prudent for potential clients to conduct their own due diligence, including inquiring about the specific attorney who would handle their case, their experience in the relevant area of law, and potentially seeking additional references or reviews to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the firm's capabilities and client service approach.

In conclusion, Stuart Simon Law Firm offers legal services in Richmond, VA, with evidence of success in at least one area (criminal defense) but also a significant negative experience reported in another (family law). Prospective clients should approach with caution, carefully consider their specific legal needs, and seek further information to determine if the firm is the right fit for their individual circumstances. Contacting the firm directly to discuss the specifics of their case and the attorney who would handle it is a crucial step in making an informed decision.

Found myself in a bad situation. Was looking at a total of 3 charges. One being a felony caused so much anxiety and stress. Contacted Mr Simon and explained my situation. He was upfront, did not make any promises and told me what was my best options. He did some background work and communicated with the prosecutor’s office. Presented the facts to the state attorney and was able to get the case to be dropped before going to trial. Great work. Excellent communication and what I felt were fair prices. But what’s a fair number when dealing with your freedom?
