The Law Offices of Robert Haberer Introduce

For individuals in the Los Angeles area seeking legal representation, The Law Offices of Robert Haberer, situated at 445 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90071, offers legal services within the local community. This downtown Los Angeles location provides accessibility for clients seeking legal counsel in the metropolitan area. The Figueroa Street address is in a central business district, suggesting a professional environment for legal consultations and services.

Information regarding the specific office environment of The Law Offices of Robert Haberer is not detailed in the provided text. However, law offices in downtown commercial buildings typically offer private spaces for client meetings to ensure confidentiality and a professional atmosphere for discussing legal matters. Clients can likely expect dedicated consultation rooms designed to facilitate open and secure communication with their legal counsel.

Based on the limited client reviews available, the primary area of legal service highlighted for The Law Offices of Robert Haberer is criminal defense. One review recounts a positive outcome where Mr. Haberer successfully assisted a client's son facing a murder charge, ultimately getting him out of jail. This suggests experience and a track record in handling serious criminal cases. The reviewer also praised Mr. Haberer's accessibility, noting his willingness to visit his son in jail when needed and his responsiveness to calls. The description of Mr. Haberer as fighting "like a lion" in court implies an aggressive and dedicated approach to representing his clients.

However, a contrasting review presents a significantly different perspective on the services provided. This reviewer was the parent of a client whose case was assigned to Mr. Haberer by the state. The reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the level of representation, citing infrequent visits to the client in jail (only four times in eighteen months) and a perceived lack of communication, with calls from both the parent and the client seldom returned. The stated reason for infrequent visits – having to "sit in the heat and wait to see him" – raises concerns about the attorney's dedication and willingness to engage with the client in custody.

Furthermore, the negative review includes a disturbing account of a phone conversation where Mr. Haberer allegedly told the parent, "we both know he's guilty, if not of this then there are other crimes he hasn't been caught at." This statement suggests a potential bias or prejudgment of the client's guilt, which could undermine the attorney's ability to provide a zealous defense. The parent also mentioned that Mr. Haberer suggested they tell their son to fire him, indicating a potentially strained attorney-client relationship and a lack of confidence in his own representation of the case.

The outcome of the case described in the negative review was a plea deal resulting in a 25-year sentence for burglary charges and a life sentence for a torture charge that the parent claims was never proven. The parent believes their son "never had a chance with the attorney he had," implying a failure in the legal representation provided. This review raises serious concerns about the quality of service, communication, and dedication provided by The Law Offices of Robert Haberer, at least in this particular instance involving a state-assigned case.

Considering the conflicting nature of these two reviews, it is challenging to definitively characterize the typical features of the legal services offered by The Law Offices of Robert Haberer. However, based on the available feedback, potential features could include:

  • Experience in Criminal Defense: Demonstrated by the positive outcome in a murder case.
  • Accessibility (in some cases): One reviewer noted Mr. Haberer's willingness to visit the client in jail and answer calls.
  • Assertive Representation (in some cases): Described as fighting "like a lion" in court by one reviewer.

Conversely, potential drawbacks or concerns raised by the negative review include:

  • Potentially Limited Communication: Allegations of infrequent visits to incarcerated clients and failure to return calls.
  • Possible Lack of Diligence: Concerns raised about the level of effort in state-assigned cases.
  • Potential Bias: The alleged statement suggesting the client's guilt raises questions about objectivity.
  • Strained Attorney-Client Relationship (in some cases): Indicated by Mr. Haberer allegedly suggesting the client fire him.

There is no explicit promotional information available for The Law Offices of Robert Haberer in the provided text. The positive review serves as an indirect endorsement, highlighting a successful outcome in a serious criminal case. However, the strongly negative review cautions potential clients to carefully consider these contrasting experiences. For users searching within the "Lawyers Near Me" category in Los Angeles, it is crucial to weigh both positive and negative feedback when evaluating legal representation options.

For local users seeking a criminal defense attorney in Los Angeles, The Law Offices of Robert Haberer, located downtown, presents a complex picture based on the available reviews. While one client experienced a positive outcome in a significant case, another reported serious concerns about communication, diligence, and the overall quality of representation in a state-assigned matter. Potential clients should exercise caution and consider contacting The Law Offices of Robert Haberer at (800) 283-9435 or +1 800-283-9435 to discuss their specific needs and assess whether the firm's practices align with their expectations. It would be prudent to inquire about the firm's experience with cases similar to their own and to seek clarification on their communication and client engagement protocols.

In conclusion, The Law Offices of Robert Haberer in Los Angeles appears to specialize in criminal defense. However, the limited and conflicting client reviews provide an uneven picture of the services offered. While one review praises the attorney's effectiveness and accessibility, the other raises significant concerns about communication, diligence, and potential bias, particularly in a state-assigned case. Local users considering The Law Offices of Robert Haberer should carefully weigh these contrasting experiences and conduct thorough due diligence before making a decision about their legal representation.

Mr. Haberer was assigned to my son's case by the state. So I know he did not do everything he could for my son. He went to the jail maybe 4 times to see my son in 18 months. When I asked why he didn't see my son more often to discuss his case, he told me "because I have to sit in the heat and wait to see him". He would very seldom return my calls or take my son's calls. I feel that had if I had been paying him instead of the state he would have represented my son better. Mr. Haberer even told me in a phone conversation, " we both know he's guilty, if not of this then there are other crimes he hasn't been caught at". I asked my son several times to fire him, Mr. Haberer even asked me to tell my son to fire him. My son ended up pleading out and received 25 yrs for 3 burglary charges, that was proven plus life for a torcher charge that was never proven because his attorney and the prosecutor told him this was the best he could get, and that he could get paroled in 14 yrs. Since then we have found out different. My son may never get out of prison because of the life charge. He never had a chance with the attorney he had. Just my opinion.
