I just had a consultation with Rhonda and was ready to discuss retaining her for my family law matter. She was rude from the beginning. I was attempting to explain to her my issue (which was complex due to errors on the courts end) and she was condescending when attempting to clarify points. The issue was not her attempt for clarification, but her condescending rude demeanor when doing so. The legal system is complex (I would know, I have a graduate degree from USC Gould school of law) as I work with it daily in my profession. However, it’s best to let professionals handle certain things when it begins to get outside your understanding. That is what I attempted to do and was met with the same rude attitude that you get at the clerks office. It’s disheartening. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. Like many of the reviews I just read, she sounds pushy and just ready to get you off the phone.
Welcome to Lawyers Near Me, your online resource for finding legal professionals in your local area. Today, we provide an overview of The Law Offices of Ronda A. Based on recent customer reviews, experiences with this law office appear to be negative, particularly concerning client interactions and legal advice provided in family law matters.
One individual who had a consultation with Ronda Middleton reported a negative initial interaction. This prospective client, who holds a graduate degree from USC Gould School of Law and works with the legal system daily, found Ms. Middleton to be rude and condescending from the beginning. While attempting to explain a complex family law issue involving court errors, the reviewer felt Ms. Middleton's attempts at clarification were delivered with a condescending demeanor, akin to the attitude sometimes encountered at a clerk's office. Expressing disappointment, this reviewer advised others to seek alternative legal representation, echoing sentiments from other reviews suggesting Ms. Middleton might seem pushy and eager to end phone calls.
Another reviewer described their experience as "horrible," stating that Ronda Middleton was "not the sharpest tool in the shed." This client had an initial free 15-minute consultation followed by a paid hour-long meeting. However, they reported that the paid meeting lasted only about eight minutes. During this brief time, while the client was explaining their case involving visitation rights with their five-year-old son (from whom they had been separated for over two years), Ms. Middleton allegedly advised against appealing a potential unfavorable decision in family court. The client interpreted this advice as essentially telling them to accept losing their case and not seeing their son. The reviewer strongly disagreed with this advice, packed their belongings, informed Ms. Middleton she was "completely wrong," and left $200 of the $400 fee, which they later regretted paying. This client urged Ms. Middleton to retire and to refrain from advising anyone on family law matters, suggesting that her advice might have negatively impacted other parents. The reviewer also claimed there is ample case law supporting successful appeals in the California Supreme Court, contrary to the advice received.
A third review directly addressed Ronda Middleton, urging her to retire and cease providing advice on family matters. This reviewer suggested that many parents might have lost valuable time with their children due to her counsel. They reiterated the point about the availability of case law supporting appeals in the California Supreme Court, contrasting this with Ms. Middleton's alleged advice to do nothing. This client also mentioned asking Ms. Middleton about her current caseload and being told it was around 60 cases, while the client was focused solely on their one case involving their son. This comparison underscored the client's perception of Ms. Middleton's potential lack of dedicated focus and questioned the value of her advice.
Based on these reviews, it is challenging to ascertain the specific services offered by The Law Offices of Ronda A. Oct 09, 2024 · Collette StewartRonda was not the sharpest tool in the shed. Horrible. I called her for her free 15 minute consultation and she did listen what I had to say and I made an appointment with her for an hour meeting to speak about my case. She was charging me $400 for the hour which I took and regretted it. We literally met for 8 minutes and I was explaining my case and we were having a productive meeting until she told me that in my case if I didn't think the decision was fair I won't not be able to appeal the decision. I've been fighting in court 6 times already to have visitation with my 5 year old son that my ex took away from me more then 2 years ago. Her advice to me was to not appeal my case in family court. Which means I would lose in court and I would not see my son. Her advice was to just accept the decision and not do anything. No appeal nothing just accept that I won't see my son. At that moment I heard her advice I packed up my belongings and told her she was completely wrong and I left her $200 dollars which I'm really regret for doing but I'm going to make those 200 dollars worth it. Ronda you need to retire and advise no one on any kind of advice in any family matters. Just retire. Start knitting. I'm sure plenty of good parents mothers and fathers have lost precious time with their kids because of you. There's tons of case laws that show appeals won in the Supreme Court of California but Ronda advice was to just not do nothing. I should have brought some examples to the meeting. She's a rookie attorney or she was acting like one for what... THE RETAINER💰💰💰 Sad. Please if your reading my review please go do your own research before hiring any attorney. P.S. Ronda before I left your office I asked you "How many cases do you have currently on your work load?" You said "Like 60 cases." I currently have just one! So do you think I'm not going to spend 24/7 on one case? Yes because he's my son! I want to be his everyday dad not just some guy he sees on the weekend. When I win this case per se I'm going to send you a copy of the findings and orders with an invoice for those $200 dollars.
May 09, 2024 · Edward NavaRhonda has been a an incredible asset to our family! She is very knowledgeable, calm, and patient and helped us take the steps necessary to better our family’s situation. She helped us in a rough situation to understand what was necessary and the best course of action to take. She and her staff worked hard to make sure all paperwork and court documents were filed on time and filled out correctly. She was punctual at court hearings, very professional, and caring when came to representing our family. I highly recommend her for family law needs.
Oct 16, 2020 · Minnie McCormickI have known Ronda for many years. She took care of our will and trust. Oct 19, 2020 · Emily YostWhile I appreciate that she squeezed me into her very busy schedule for a free consultation, Ronda sounds lazy, tired, too busy… as mentioned below. It was extremely discouraging to speak with her!
