I was appointed Todd Barstow to represent me in a case to which this ALLEGED attorney refused to speak to my witnesses who were called to come pick up a vehicle that was released by the officers. They conducted an unlawful search of the my vehicle when they were told I DO NOT CONSENT to ANY search of my vehicle. The officer told me that no one was going in my vehicle he gave me my phone and allowed me to call my witnesses to come get my vehicle I left the scene in a ambulance as soon as I left they went into my vehicle. I explain to this attorney how anything obtained after that illegal search is now Fruits of a BAD TREE He filed a motion to withdraw as counsel on my case then put in a motion what I shared with him under attorney client privileged information as a basis to excuse hisself from my case in an effort to sabatoge my legitimate claim of my constitutional rights being violated. This individual told me that my research online the same place he goes when he needs directions to a destination he has never been said the research I did was NOT VALID. But AI literally broke down my situation and how to properly defend it because of my rights being violated he gave me two thumb drives that only contained the officers name that it. He is known for setting up his clients by telling them that there are deals on The table that dont exist or were never discussed forcing clients into jail by falsely claiming he is doing things he never had any intention of doing. My belief is that he is in bed with the prosecutor to send people to jail as a favor for a favor. There is no saying how bad he has hurt my case if he is so comfortable putting protected conversations in motions to the presiding judge of that very case. I can only imagine what has been said to the prosecutor on my case behind closed doors all in an effort to sabatoge my case And violate my constitutional rights. This same individual told me to NOT show up to court appearances when he knew if I did not I would get jammed up. The probation people made that known when I spoke to them after my hearing he had failed to show to three hearings this far then uses private text and means to drop my case. He practices law in Licking County and also has a office in Columbus Ohio ALLEGEDLY. He had our one and only meeting in an office to which no one even knew who he was. When I spoke to him on the phone Very disrespectful and then hung up on me claiming he could t hear me when I directly called others to see if his claim was valid no no one else had a issue hearing me. DO NOT EVER LET THIS PERSON REPRESENT YOU OR EVEN ATTEMPT TO I REPEAT … DO NOT EVER LET THIS PERSON REPRESENT YOU OR EVEN ATTEMPT TO. This individual needs to be disbarred and ALL PRIOR cases brought back up for review ASAP IF a lawyer happens to view this and can reach out to me please feel free to do so my case is a clear case of abuse of power and lies and deception How do you tell a client NOT to go to court when you know it’s imperative for them to be there and then you yourself don’t show up Not once Not twice But three times and then use an invalid motion legally and ethically and again violate my rights to counsel and all that goes with it … Confidentiality. All in an effort to sabotage my case makes me wonder what he has been telling the prosecutor or lack thereof.

Todd W. Barstow Attorney at Law Introduce

Navigating the legal system can be one of the most challenging experiences for any individual, particularly when your constitutional rights and personal freedom are at stake. For residents across Ohio, the search for competent, trustworthy, and dedicated legal representation is a critical step in ensuring a just outcome. When choosing an attorney, it's essential to consider not only their legal knowledge but also their commitment to upholding client confidentiality, advocating vigorously on your behalf, and maintaining clear, respectful communication.

This article aims to provide valuable information for Ohioans seeking legal counsel, drawing insights from publicly available feedback to highlight key considerations when selecting a lawyer. While it is paramount to always do your own thorough due diligence and potentially seek multiple consultations, understanding the experiences of others can help inform your decision-making process. The goal is to empower local users in the Ohio region to make informed choices that protect their rights and lead to the best possible legal outcomes.

When entrusting your legal future to an attorney, the cornerstones of the relationship should be trust, transparency, and a clear demonstration of advocacy. From the initial meeting to the final resolution of your case, a lawyer's responsibility extends beyond mere legal procedure to include unwavering support for their client's rights and interests. This guide will explore elements of a legal practice that Ohio residents should prioritize, helping them to identify representation that aligns with their expectations for professional and ethical conduct.

When considering legal services in Ohio, understanding the geographical presence of an attorney's practice is often a key factor for local users. Todd W. Barstow Attorney at Law is listed with an address at 261 W Johnstown Rd Ste 204, Columbus, OH 43230, USA. This location places the office within the Columbus metropolitan area, making it potentially accessible to individuals residing in the city and its surrounding suburbs. Columbus, as the state capital, is a central hub for legal services, offering a variety of court systems and legal professionals.

Furthermore, it is mentioned that this individual "practices law in Licking County and also has an office in Columbus Ohio ALLEGEDLY." This suggests a potential reach that extends beyond just Franklin County (where Columbus is located) into neighboring Licking County. For residents in both these areas, proximity to legal counsel can be a significant advantage, reducing travel time for meetings, court appearances, and document exchanges. While the Columbus address is concrete, potential clients in Licking County would want to verify any physical office presence there. When evaluating any legal professional, verifying their current and active practice locations is always a prudent step for local users in Ohio to ensure convenient and consistent access to their attorney.

When seeking legal representation, clients typically look for attorneys who offer a range of services relevant to their specific needs. While detailed service offerings for Todd W. Barstow Attorney at Law are not explicitly outlined in the provided information, the nature of the client review suggests involvement in criminal defense or cases where constitutional rights and police conduct are central issues. Based on the context provided, a lawyer involved in such cases would typically offer the following services:

  • Criminal Defense Representation: Defending individuals accused of various crimes, encompassing initial consultations, court appearances, plea negotiations, and trial representation.
  • Constitutional Rights Advocacy: Arguing on behalf of clients whose constitutional rights (e.g., related to search and seizure, right to counsel) may have been violated by law enforcement or other authorities.
  • Motion Filings: Preparing and filing various legal motions, such as motions to suppress evidence (e.g., "Fruits of a BAD TREE" arguments), motions to withdraw as counsel, or other procedural motions pertinent to a case.
  • Client Counseling: Providing legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their case, legal options, potential outcomes, and procedural requirements.
  • Evidence Review and Strategy Development: Analyzing evidence, including police reports, body camera footage, and witness statements, to develop a defense strategy.
  • Witness Interviewing: Communicating with and preparing witnesses pertinent to a case.
  • Court Appearances: Representing clients in various court proceedings, including arraignments, pre-trial hearings, and trial.

Given the critical nature of the review provided, it's essential for any potential client to thoroughly investigate an attorney's actual service delivery, commitment, and ethical practices before engaging their services, particularly concerning the consistent and diligent performance of these listed services.

When evaluating any legal professional, discerning their key features and highlights is crucial for potential clients. Based on the provided client review, here are points that emerge, offering a multifaceted view for Ohio locals to consider:

  • Presence in Columbus and Potentially Licking County: The firm is stated to have an office in Columbus, OH, and "allegedly" practices in Licking County. This geographical reach could be a feature for clients in both areas seeking local representation.
  • Involvement in Cases Involving Constitutional Rights: The review centers on a case where the client believed their constitutional rights were violated, particularly regarding unlawful search and seizure. This suggests experience, at least on paper, with complex criminal defense issues involving fundamental rights.
  • Filing of Legal Motions: The attorney is noted to have filed a "motion to withdraw as counsel" and potentially other motions, indicating knowledge of procedural legal steps.

It is critical for any prospective client to be aware that the provided review contains serious allegations regarding professional conduct, including claims of refusal to speak to witnesses, alleged filing of client-privileged information in motions, questionable advice regarding court appearances, and alleged non-attendance at hearings. These are significant concerns that any Ohio resident should thoroughly investigate and verify independently when considering legal representation, as they directly impact trust, confidentiality, and effective advocacy. While features might be present, their execution and adherence to ethical standards are paramount.

Based on the provided client review, there are no mentions of "promotions or special offers" from Todd W. Barstow Attorney at Law in the traditional sense (e.g., discounted rates, free initial consultations advertised as a special). The review focuses entirely on the client's experience with the attorney's professional conduct and alleged service delivery rather than any promotional incentives.

In the legal field, many attorneys offer a free or reduced-cost initial consultation as a standard practice to attract new clients and assess cases. However, this is not specifically indicated as a "promotion" here. For local users in Ohio considering any legal representation, it is always advisable to inquire directly about fees, consultation costs, and payment structures during the initial contact. As the provided information is limited to a single, highly critical review, there is no public data to suggest any ongoing or past promotional activities from this legal practice.

For individuals in Ohio who may need to contact legal counsel, here is the publicly listed contact information for Todd W. Barstow Attorney at Law:

Address: 261 W Johnstown Rd Ste 204, Columbus, OH 43230, USA

Phone: (614) 338-1800

Mobile Phone: +1 614-338-1800

These contact details provide direct avenues for potential clients to reach the attorney's office. The inclusion of both a standard phone number and a mobile phone number typically indicates an effort to maintain accessibility for clients. When reaching out, it is always recommended to clearly state your purpose, such as inquiring about services or scheduling a consultation. For any legal matter, clear and consistent communication is paramount, and these contact points serve as the initial gateway for engaging with the legal practice.

When considering legal representation in Ohio, the suitability of any attorney for locals hinges on trust, effective advocacy, and adherence to professional ethics. The provided client review, while offering a detailed account of one individual's experience, raises serious concerns that Ohio residents would need to thoroughly investigate. The allegations within the review, such as the refusal to communicate with witnesses, alleged unlawful use of attorney-client privileged information in motions, and claims of advising a client not to attend court appearances resulting in negative consequences, are critical points for consideration.

For Ohioans, selecting a lawyer means finding someone who will vigorously defend their constitutional rights, maintain strict confidentiality, and always act in their client's best interest. The account provided highlights the importance of an attorney who is consistently present for hearings, communicates respectfully and clearly, and does not engage in actions that could "sabotage" a case. While the Columbus address offers a local presence, the core suitability for locals must be rooted in the consistent delivery of ethical, competent, and dedicated legal service.

Therefore, while the firm is physically located in Ohio, the information provided necessitates a strong recommendation for potential clients to exercise extreme caution and conduct extensive independent verification of any attorney's professional conduct and reliability before engaging their services. It underscores the vital importance for Ohio residents to seek out lawyers with consistently positive and unimpeachable reputations for ethical practice and client advocacy, ensuring their constitutional rights and legal interests are genuinely protected.

If I could if a negative star I would. He is a liar and does absolutely nothing to help his clients! He does the bare minimum just to make sure he gets his pay check
