Like others the PANDEMIC took a toll on everyone especially Home Owners. I was desperate because I didn't trust my lender so I needed protection just in case Foreclosure procedure or process would happen So I decided to get help and possible bankruptcy so UPRIGHT LAW was contacted. I was told NOTHING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN UNLESS MY FEES TO THEM WERE PAID IN FULL FIRST . IN the meantime I was paying them $250 a month towards the fees and stressing because NO One from UPRIGHT INCLUDING THE ATTORNEY CALLED ME TO CHECK ON MY STATUS. A Friend told me about the CALIFORNIA MORTGAGE RELIEF PROGRAM. I contacted them and they helped me Avoid Foreclosure. Now all is well with my home No THANKS to Upright. I asked for my MONEY BACK SINCE THEIR SERVICES WERE NOT NEEDED. I WAS TOLD BY UPRIGHT I WAS ONLY GETTING $59.00 INSTEAD OF THE $1000.00 I MADE PAYMENTS TO THEM. IT'S APRIL AND MY REFUND REQUEST WAS SENT IN FEBRUARY AND NOTHING FROM THEM. I HAVE SENT MULTIPLE REQUEST FOR MY 1000.00 AND I HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING. I SHOULD OF KNOWN BETTER TRUSTING A COMPANY WHO ALREADY HAD COMPLAINTS FROM FOLKS WHO THEY REFUSED TO SEND THEIR MONEY BACK.NOTHING WAS NEVER FILED NO PHONE CALLS TO CHECK ON MY STATUS AND THE ATTORNEY WOW I HAD TO REMIND HIM EVERYTIME I CALL WHO I WAS AND SOME OF THE ADVICE HE GAVE ME I COULD OF DONE MYSELF HE WAS NICE BUT NO HELP. SO PLEASE AVOID THEM ! LIKE ME I'M OUT OF $1000. AND IT LOOKS LIKE THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF ME AND OTHERS FROM SOME OF THE COMMENTS I READ PLEASE UPRIGHT LAW IS NOT A PLACE I WOULD CONTACT OR CONSIDER FOR HELP. I'M OUT OF $1000 DON'T CONTACT THEM. THIS IS MY LESSON LEARNED.

UpRight Law Introduce

For residents across California, navigating legal challenges can often feel overwhelming, and finding the right legal support is a crucial first step. Whether you're dealing with financial difficulties, property concerns, or other personal legal matters, understanding your options and having access to legal advice is essential. In Sacramento, UpRight Law operates as a firm providing various legal services to individuals in California. This article aims to provide an overview of UpRight Law, covering their location, general services, and contact information for those in the California region who might be seeking legal assistance.

UpRight Law is a legal entity operating in California. While the provided review indicates a less than satisfactory experience for one client, it's important for individuals to research any legal service thoroughly and consider all available information when making decisions about legal representation. This article will focus on presenting the factual and publicly available details about UpRight Law to help Californians learn more about this firm as they explore their legal options.

UpRight Law has an office located in the heart of California's capital city, Sacramento, providing a physical point of contact for clients in the region. Their address is 717 K St #213, Sacramento, CA 95814, USA. This location places the firm within the vibrant downtown core of Sacramento, an area known for its central accessibility.

The central placement of their office in downtown Sacramento offers general accessibility for individuals seeking legal services. For those utilizing public transportation, the office is likely within walking distance of various bus lines and possibly light rail stations that serve the downtown area. This makes it a reachable destination for clients who may not have private vehicle access. For those driving, downtown Sacramento typically provides a range of parking options, including metered street parking and various parking garages. It is generally advisable to confirm parking availability and rates before a visit.

Being situated in a prominent part of Sacramento means that UpRight Law operates within an established urban environment, which facilitates general access for individuals who might need to visit their office for consultations or to submit documents.

Based on the provided client review, UpRight Law appears to offer services related to financial distress and potential bankruptcy proceedings for individuals, particularly concerning homeownership issues like foreclosure. While a comprehensive list of all their services is not available from the provided data, the review specifically mentions:

  • Bankruptcy Assistance: The client contacted UpRight Law for "possible bankruptcy" related to financial difficulties stemming from the pandemic's impact on homeowners. This suggests the firm handles individual bankruptcy filings (e.g., Chapter 7 or Chapter 13).
  • Foreclosure Protection/Prevention: The client sought "protection just in case Foreclosure procedure or process would happen," indicating that the firm aims to assist homeowners in avoiding or managing foreclosure. This could involve negotiations with lenders, loan modifications, or legal strategies to delay or prevent foreclosure.

It is important to note that the provided information does not detail other potential practice areas. Firms that handle bankruptcy and foreclosure often also provide services related to:

  • Debt Relief: General guidance on managing debt, negotiating with creditors, or exploring alternatives to bankruptcy.
  • Financial Planning (Legal Aspects): Advice on how legal processes like bankruptcy might impact long-term financial stability.

For potential clients in California, it is recommended to directly contact UpRight Law to confirm the full scope of legal services they offer and to determine if their expertise aligns with specific legal needs.

While the provided customer review for UpRight Law outlines a negative experience, it is important to extract factual details and potential service aims from it, even in the context of a critique. The review indicates certain aspects of the firm's operations and intended client interactions:

  • Focus on Homeowners Facing Financial Distress: The client's situation (homeowner impacted by the pandemic, seeking foreclosure protection and possible bankruptcy) indicates that UpRight Law targets or serves individuals in such predicaments.
  • Fee Payment Structure: The firm explicitly stated that "NOTHING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN UNLESS MY FEES TO THEM WERE PAID IN FULL FIRST." This indicates a policy of requiring upfront or full payment of fees before services are rendered or legal actions are taken.
  • Client Communication Policy (as perceived by the client): The client noted a lack of proactive communication, stating, "NO One from UPRIGHT INCLUDING THE ATTORNEY CALLED ME TO CHECK ON MY STATUS." This highlights an area where the client felt there was a deficit in communication.
  • Attorney Accessibility (as perceived by the client): The client mentioned having to "remind him everytime I call who I was," suggesting a perceived lack of personalized attention from the assigned attorney.
  • Initial Advice (as perceived by the client): The client stated that "some of the advice he gave me I could of done myself," implying that some of the counsel received was basic or easily accessible.
  • Refund Policy (as perceived by the client): The review details a challenging refund process, where the client received a very small portion of their payment back after services were deemed unnecessary. This highlights an area of contention regarding their refund practices.

It's crucial for prospective clients to consider these reported features, alongside any other research, when evaluating UpRight Law for their legal needs.

For legal services like those potentially offered by UpRight Law, traditional "promotions" or "special offers" in the consumer sense are generally not applicable. Law firms operate on professional fee structures for their services. However, insights from the provided client review do highlight aspects of their financial and operational practices:

  • Upfront Fee Requirement: The client explicitly states, "NOTHING WAS GOING TO HAPPEN UNLESS MY FEES TO THEM WERE PAID IN FULL FIRST." This indicates that UpRight Law requires payment of their fees in advance or in full before proceeding with significant legal actions or services. This is a crucial point for potential clients to understand as it impacts the immediate financial commitment.
  • Payment Plans (Inferred): The client mentioned paying "$250 a month towards the fees," which suggests that while full payment is required before action, the firm may offer installment payment plans for their fees. This could be considered a form of financial flexibility, allowing clients to manage the cost over time.
  • Refund Policy (as Experienced by Client): The review details a situation where the client sought a refund for services not fully rendered or utilized and was informed they would only receive a very small portion ($59 out of $1,000 paid). This aspect of their refund policy, as experienced by this client, is a critical piece of information for anyone considering their services and what might happen if circumstances change or if the services are no longer needed.

Potential clients in California considering UpRight Law should thoroughly clarify all fee structures, payment terms, and refund policies directly with the firm before committing to any services. This proactive approach will ensure a clear understanding of the financial obligations and expectations.

Their office is centrally located in downtown Sacramento, making it generally accessible for clients throughout the capital region and beyond to visit. The provided phone numbers offer direct lines of communication, allowing prospective clients to call and inquire about the services offered, discuss their specific legal situation, and clarify any questions they may have about the firm's policies and procedures. It is advisable to utilize these contact points to gather all necessary information directly from the firm before making any decisions about legal representation.

For locals in California, particularly those in the Sacramento area seeking legal assistance for financial difficulties, the decision to engage a law firm requires careful consideration. UpRight Law has an office located conveniently in downtown Sacramento, making it physically accessible for those who prefer in-person consultations. The firm appears to offer services related to bankruptcy and foreclosure prevention, which are critical areas for homeowners facing financial strain.

However, it is crucial for Californians to be aware of the provided customer review, which details a negative experience regarding communication, the perceived value of advice, and a challenging refund process. The client's account highlights concerns about a lack of proactive communication, the requirement for fees to be paid in full before services commence, and difficulty in obtaining a full refund when services were no longer needed due to external assistance.

While UpRight Law is physically present in Sacramento and seemingly caters to specific financial legal needs, potential clients should conduct thorough due diligence. This includes contacting the firm directly to clarify all fee structures, communication protocols, and refund policies. It is always wise to compare legal options and read a wide range of reviews, if available, from various sources to gain a comprehensive understanding of a firm's service quality and client satisfaction. For any Californian considering UpRight Law, it is essential to ensure that their expectations align with the firm's reported practices and to feel confident in the transparency and communication they will receive throughout their legal journey.
