I had a case in 2010 and I’ve been trying to get my workers comp bills paid by the insurance company since then. I was told on 4 different occasions , by Mr. Dubois to send all of my bills and it would be taken care of. Here it is 12 years later and bill collectors are still calling me about bills that I’m not even responsible for.

The firm would assist injured workers in navigating the complex process of filing claims, appealing denials, and securing compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and other related expenses.
  • Personal Injury: While not explicitly detailed, firms handling workers' compensation often also practice in general personal injury law. This would involve representing individuals who have been injured due to the negligence or wrongdoing of others, such as in car accidents, slip and falls, or other incidents leading to harm.
  • General Litigation: Providing representation in various civil disputes that may arise, which can include contractual disagreements, property issues, or other legal conflicts requiring court intervention or negotiation.
  • Other Civil Matters: Depending on the specific attorneys' expertise within the firm, they may also handle other areas of civil law relevant to individuals and businesses in Maryland, such as real estate, business law, or estate planning.

Based on the provided customer reviews, Verderaime & Du Bois PA presents a mixed, but important, set of features and highlights for potential clients in Maryland.

  • Individual Attorney Acclaim: One review specifically praises an attorney at the firm as a "Very good attorney and a very nice human being." This highlights that individuals within the firm are recognized for their legal competence and personal demeanor, which can be highly reassuring for clients facing stressful legal situations.
  • Long-Term Client Relationships (Potential): The fact that one client's case spans over a decade, though with noted issues regarding bill payments, suggests that the firm potentially maintains long-term relationships with clients, or at least accepts cases with protracted timelines. This could be seen as a feature of persistence, even if the outcome for this particular client was not fully satisfactory in one aspect.
  • Focus on Specific Areas (e.g., Workers' Comp): The explicit mention of a "workers comp case" indicates that this is a recognized area of practice for the firm. For Maryland residents specifically seeking assistance with workers' compensation claims, this highlights the firm's experience in that particular field.
  • Commitment to Communication (Attempted): While one client expressed frustration, the fact that they were "told on 4 different occasions" to send bills suggests an attempt at communication and a stated intention to resolve the issue, even if the follow-through was problematic in that specific instance. This points to an intent for client communication, even if execution varies.
