I had an initial consultation with John Waldron in 2010 which lasted probably 10 minutes max in regards to me wanting to provide music entertainment at DeSales University in Center Valley. I was rejected summarily by Nick Luchko, and mistakenly by the university, received 2 trespassing charges, even though I had a legitimate business inquiry. Waldron simply suggested that I contact the chief of police at the university at the time and request that only one trespassing charge be given even though it was still massively expensive. After that, I get a bill for $250 from Waldron for his few minutes of time, and then I'm wondering how I'm going to pay my rent for the next month so I'm not homeless. I call into the lawfirm, and the solution from the secretary (communicated by John) was to pay by credit card now over the phone and it will only be $175. Wonderful. Put a guy who did absolutely nothing wrong further into debt. Thanks John...

The specific legal services offered by Waldron & Williams are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. However, the context of the reviews offers some clues. The negative review describes an initial consultation regarding a business inquiry related to providing music entertainment at a university, which led to trespassing charges. This suggests that the firm may handle matters related to business law, contractual issues, or potentially even criminal defense given the trespassing charges. The positive review focuses on attorney John Waldron's skills and rapport within the legal and law enforcement communities, without specifying particular areas of law. The reviewer's emphasis on courtroom presence and seeking quick resolutions implies that the firm likely engages in litigation. To understand the full scope of their legal services, including their areas of specialization, it is advisable to contact Waldron & Williams directly.
The available customer feedback presents a polarized view of Waldron & Williams, largely focusing on attorney John Waldron. The negative review highlights the following concerns:
Brief and Unhelpful Initial Consultation: The initial consultation with John Waldron is described as lasting "probably 10 minutes max" and not leading to a helpful resolution of the client's issue.
Lack of Effective Advocacy: The client felt that Waldron's suggestion to merely request a reduction in the number of trespassing charges, rather than challenging the charges themselves, was insufficient.
Unexpected and Burdensome Billing: The client was billed $250 for the brief consultation, which they found financially stressful, especially given their perceived lack of wrongdoing.
Unsympathetic Fee Resolution: The offered "solution" of paying a reduced fee of $175 immediately via credit card was seen as further burdening the client.
In stark contrast, the positive review emphasizes the following attributes of John Waldron:
Personable and Intelligent: Waldron is described as "very personable and intelligent," suggesting positive interpersonal skills and legal acumen.
Respected within the Legal Community: The reviewer was "extremely impressed by the respect he received from his peers in the legal community as well as the DA and ADA’s," indicating a strong professional reputation.
Respected by Law Enforcement: Waldron is also noted to be "equally respected" by the law enforcement community, suggesting a good working relationship and credibility with law enforcement.
Experienced and Expert with Strong Courtroom Presence: His "experience and expertise were also evident in his courtroom presence," implying competence and effectiveness in litigation.
Focus on Efficient Resolution: Waldron's "initial goal" is described as a "quick and desirable resolution," suggesting an aim for efficiency and client satisfaction.
Valuable Ally: The reviewer concludes that Waldron is an "unbelievably valuable ally to have in your corner when you need legal assistance" and strongly recommends him.
The positive review serves as a strong promotional endorsement for John Waldron specifically, highlighting his intelligence, professional respect, courtroom skills, and focus on efficient resolutions. The emphatic recommendation to seek his representation ("If and when you need legal representation, you need John Waldron!") acts as a clear call to action for potential clients. However, the negative review provides a cautionary counterpoint, illustrating a situation where a client felt underserved and unfairly billed for an initial consultation. This contrast suggests that while some clients have had very positive experiences with John Waldron, others may find their interactions less satisfactory.
For local users in Allentown, PA, searching for "Lawyers Near Me," Waldron & Williams, located at 535 Hamilton St #102, presents a legal option with notable divergence in client experiences. Attorney John Waldron receives high praise in one review for his professionalism, intelligence, respect within the legal community, courtroom presence, and focus on efficient resolutions. However, another review details a negative initial consultation experience with concerns about the value of the advice provided and the subsequent billing. Potential clients should consider these contrasting perspectives and may wish to inquire specifically about consultation fees and the firm's approach to initial case evaluations. It might be beneficial to seek further information or consider a consultation to assess whether Waldron & Williams, and particularly John Waldron, aligns with their specific legal needs and expectations.
In conclusion, Waldron & Williams in Allentown, PA, offers legal services with attorney John Waldron being a central figure in the available reviews.
