Yang Law Offices Introduce

Welcome to Lawyers Near Me, your online platform connecting you with legal professionals in your area. If you are searching for legal assistance in downtown Los Angeles, Yang Law Offices, situated at 555 Flower St 51st Floor, is one firm you might encounter.

Located in a high-rise building on Flower Street in the financial district of Los Angeles, Yang Law Offices operates from a central and potentially accessible location for individuals and businesses seeking legal counsel in the area. The 51st-floor setting may offer a professional environment with views of the city. However, it's important to consider all available information when evaluating a legal service provider.

Potential Services Offered:

Without explicit information on the firm's website or a comprehensive list of their practice areas in the provided data, it is challenging to definitively state the full scope of legal services offered by Yang Law Offices. However, based on the fact that it is a general law office in a downtown Los Angeles location, they might handle various legal matters. One client review mentions a child support case, while another references a consultation regarding a "project," which could imply business or intellectual property law. Potential areas of practice could include:

  • Family Law (as indicated by the child support case review)
  • Business Law
  • Intellectual Property Law
  • General Civil Litigation
  • Other areas of law depending on the expertise of the attorneys at the firm.

To obtain a complete understanding of the specific legal services offered by Yang Law Offices, it is recommended to visit their official website or contact them directly.

Observed Features and Client Experiences:

The provided client reviews offer a mixed perspective on Yang Law Offices. One client reported a positive initial consultation, highlighting the professionalism and helpfulness of Elizabeth Yang, which instilled confidence in choosing the firm. This suggests that some individuals may have positive initial interactions with the firm.

However, another, more detailed review presents a significantly negative experience. This client described issues such as frequent changes in assigned lawyers, a lack of communication and updates on their child support case, and alleged unprofessional conduct. Specific allegations include a lawyer not knowing the client's child's name, the client having to repeatedly add money to the retainer without receiving substantive updates, and a lack of discovery conducted on their behalf despite significant fees paid. This reviewer also claimed that after posting a negative online review, the owner, Elizabeth Yang, contacted them and offered to remove outstanding retainer payments and provide a new fixed-rate contract in exchange for removing the review. Subsequently, the reviewer alleged receiving a bill for a significantly higher amount than the agreed-upon fixed rate after a court appearance by an unfamiliar attorney. The reviewer characterized the firm and its lawyers as "frauds" and strongly advised against using their services. These are serious allegations that potential clients should carefully consider.

Promotional Aspects and Considerations:

The positive initial consultation experience could be seen as a promotional aspect, suggesting a professional and helpful initial engagement. However, the subsequent negative review raises significant concerns about the firm's overall service quality, communication practices, and billing procedures. The allegation of offering to remove fees in exchange for deleting a negative review is also a serious matter that potential clients should be aware of.

Given the stark contrast in the provided client feedback, it is crucial for individuals considering Yang Law Offices to exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence. This should include:

  • Seeking Additional Reviews: Look for a broader range of reviews on various online platforms to gain a more comprehensive understanding of past client experiences.
  • Checking Professional Standing: Verify the licensing and disciplinary history of the attorneys at the firm through the relevant state bar association.
  • Requesting References: Ask the firm for client references who can speak to their experiences.
  • Conducting a Detailed Consultation: During any consultation, ask specific questions about the attorney who will be handling your case, their experience with similar matters, the firm's communication practices, and their billing policies. Ensure you have a clear written agreement outlining the scope of services and fees.

The information available suggests that while some individuals might have a positive initial interaction with Yang Law Offices, there are also significant concerns raised by at least one former client regarding their handling of a case, communication, and billing practices. Potential clients should weigh these points carefully when making their decision.

Located at 555 Flower St 51st Floor in Los Angeles, Yang Law Offices can be contacted at (877) 492-6452 or +1 877-492-6452. As with any legal service, it is essential to conduct thorough research and due diligence to ensure that the firm aligns with your specific needs and expectations. The contrasting client experiences highlighted in the provided reviews underscore the importance of this process.

Please remember that online reviews can be subjective, and individual experiences may vary. However, it is crucial to consider all available information to make an informed decision when choosing legal representation. The serious allegations raised in one of the reviews regarding billing practices and professional conduct warrant careful consideration and further investigation by potential clients.

In conclusion, Yang Law Offices is a law firm located in downtown Los Angeles. While one initial consultation was reported as positive, another client shared a deeply negative experience involving issues with attorney turnover, communication, billing, and professional conduct. Potential clients should conduct thorough research and due diligence before engaging their services.

Back in 2020 I hired Yang Law Firm for my child support case. They were horrible. I mean, between every 2 months before even going to court, they swapped my lawyers out. It was so bad that one lawyer even sent me an email to introduce herself that she didn't even know my daughter's name. Not that she misspelled it but gave my daughter a completely different name that was remotely close to her first, middle or last name. It got so bad with them I wrote a Google review while they were working on my case because I was so fed up with having to add money to my retainer but haven't even spoke to anyone with any information on my case. Once I submitted the review on here the owner Elizabeth Yang called my phone and told me that if I remove my review that she would remove any payments owed for my retainer and I would get a new contract for a fixed retainer just so I have representation in court. By the time court took place they had some random who I never met at the courthouse with me. He didn't even ask me to testify at my own hearing for child support. I ended up giving them over $14k and they didn't even have discovery on my behalf. They are so rude and unprofessional. My issue now is that I removed the genuine review I wrote, signed a new fixed rate retainer just for them to show up to court and then they sent me a bill for over $21k. Elizabeth Yang and all her lawyers are frauds. Do not use their services at all. Not to mention, "paying" someone to remove a Google review is illegal. Especially if they lie about charges and still give you a bill for work they never did after the fact. The email from them states clear as day to stop working on my case until I pay. If I never paid them then how is it that Rhoneil showed up to court for my hearing even tho he had no idea what he was doing? If they never got paid then they wouldn't have shown up. Not to mention a retainer is paid upfront and the firm is not supposed to surpass your retainer amount and create a bill that never existed. I hope this review with the proof to go with it allows you all to know that there are better options than them. If I could give them zero stars I would. Filing a complaint as well and writing a BBB report.

I made a costly mistake by not terminating Yang Law sooner. I engaged Yang Law to assist with a 100% amicable divorce, with all stipulations agreed to by both parties. After asking me questions about my case, I was told that it could be handled by a paralegal, so I put my trust in Yang Law and put down a retainer. To date, I have been charged over $4,000 and the only action that has occured is the paralegal filled out and mailed three 2-3 page forms. The paralegal asked for 20+ pieces of financial, and other pertinent information and invoiced thousands of dollars for their "review". I was then sent a boiler plate agreement that did not match my case, given no instruction, and was in told by Yang Law to modify it on my own. I am not an attorney and, when I expressed my reservations about a DIY approach, I was told they were trying to "save me money". I proceeded to do my best with the agreement and send it back to their paralegal. It's been three months since then without feedback. After five frustrating months, I intend to seek another attorney.

Kat was a nightmare and did not share that my custody case was the first she’d ever worked on. She filed incorrectly by only filing a divorce and not a request for order to get my son back, has no initiative to fight for visitation and ASKED ME to write me own petition! I didn’t even realize how terrible the service was because I’d never been to court, until I hired another law firm— The Offices of Nigel Burns— who did everything for me for LESS MONEY. When I would ask questions, Kat would get defensive and often did not get back to me. This place is a joke and almost cost me custody of my son. Run.
