Personally, it was a waste of my time and money. I had received a traffic ticket for driving in the wrong lane in the construction zone. I called Yemc Law Offices to help fight the case for me and they couldn't even get the judge to do anything in my favor. I've known people to get worse citations such as DUIs and driving without licensing reduced. I've never spoken with Yemc himself because he is always "so-called" busy, only with his clerk by the name of Lucy Baldwin. I was robbed of the chance to build a solid relationship with my lawyer. I currently feel chewed up, spat out, and left with no justice.

Yemc Law Offices' presence in a key urban center like Columbus reflects its intention to serve a broad segment of the Ohio population in its specialized practice areas.
Yemc Law Offices focuses its practice on several specific and often complex areas of law, primarily catering to individuals and businesses involved in transportation and related fields in Ohio. Their key service areas typically include:
Transportation Law: This is a core focus for the firm. They represent clients ranging from large multinational shippers to small carriers, addressing a wide array of legal matters relevant to the transportation industry in Ohio. This can include business formation, compliance issues, employment matters, and litigation within the transportation sector.
CDL & Trucking Law: Given the critical importance of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to a professional driver's livelihood, Yemc Law Offices provides specialized legal assistance for CDL holders and trucking companies. This includes defending against violations that could jeopardize a CDL, such as speeding, reckless operation, logbook violations, or other offenses specific to commercial driving. They aim to protect the driving privileges and careers of professional drivers.
Traffic Law: For general motorists, the firm handles a variety of traffic offenses. This includes representation for speeding tickets, reckless operation, hit and run incidents, texting while driving, and other moving violations. Their goal is to mitigate the impact of these citations on driving records, insurance rates, and potential penalties.
DUI/OVI Defense: Driving Under the Influence (DUI) or Operating a Vehicle while Impaired (OVI) charges carry severe penalties in Ohio, including license suspension, fines, and potential jail time. Yemc Law Offices assists clients in understanding these charges and mounts a defense to fight them in court, working to reduce or dismiss charges and protect driving privileges.
Hazmat and PUCO Violations: Transporting hazardous materials (Hazmat) is subject to stringent regulations. Yemc Law Offices offers legal counsel for CDL drivers and carriers facing Hazmat violations. They also handle matters related to the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO), which regulates commercial transportation companies, assisting with safety compliance and alleged regulatory infractions.
Oil and Gas Law: In addition to transportation and traffic, the firm also provides legal services related to Ohio's oil and gas and mineral laws. This involves helping landowners navigate complex lease agreements, royalty disputes, and other legal issues related to oil and gas exploration and production on their property, ensuring they get the most out of their mineral rights.
Yemc Law Offices has historically focused on specific areas of law that are critical for individuals and businesses in the transportation and related industries in Ohio. Based on general public information about their practice areas, the following are common features and highlights that firms specializing in these fields often emphasize:

For locals in Ohio navigating the specific and often challenging legal territories of transportation, CDL, traffic violations, and DUI/OVI, the suitability of Yemc Law Offices primarily stems from its stated specialization in these niche areas. In a state with extensive roadways and a significant trucking industry, having a legal firm that dedicates its practice to these concerns can be a crucial advantage. This concentrated focus means that, in theory, the firm should possess a deep understanding of Ohio's unique traffic laws, commercial driving regulations, and the complexities of fighting specific citations.
However, it is imperative for potential clients in Ohio to consider the full spectrum of experiences reported by previous customers. While the firm's focus on areas like CDL defense and traffic law is highly relevant for many Ohioans, the provided customer reviews raise significant concerns regarding client communication, perceived effort in achieving desired outcomes, and direct access to the attorney. The sentiment of feeling "uncared for," like "just a number," and the lack of direct attorney communication, as described by past clients, are critical factors for any local user to weigh. In situations where livelihoods (like a CDL driver's) are at stake, transparent communication, empathetic engagement, and a clear understanding of the lawyer's strategy are paramount.
Therefore, while Yemc Law Offices' specialized practice areas align with a distinct need in Ohio, local users seeking legal counsel should prioritize direct communication with the attorney, clarify expectations regarding case strategy and outcomes, and ensure they feel truly supported throughout the legal process. Understanding the firm's stated areas of expertise, combined with a careful consideration of past client experiences, will enable Ohioans to make a more informed decision when seeking legal representation for their specific traffic or transportation-related legal challenges.

Dec 11, 2024 · Eynik Inqun (Mab)I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I received a distracted driving citation. I was recommended to this law office by a company that seeks out stellar legal counsel. They set me up with this guy which was a big mistake. The court offered me a deal in which points and fees would be waived for a citation. The citation would still show up on my MVR after it was all said and done though. Since this is not what I wanted considering I am a CDL driver and overall this will looks very bad on my record, I seeked out legal counsel and was given this law office. What a mistake. He took on my case and ended up taking it to a pre-trial and got me the same deal I would have gotten if I went ahead and did this on my own. Worse case as well is that I can’t do anything about it. No lawyer says I can reopen this case, what’s done is done. I have family members who are an involved in law practice and they say that there were injustices in the way that he handled it but the biggest injustice here is that if he knew he couldn’t fight the case he should have never even taken it. He took my money and my emotional energy as well. I felt uncared for throughout the process, I’ve never even spoken to the attorney, only the secretaries. Even after I called multiple times with worries I had, they should have allowed the attorney to speak with me, but instead they gave no offer and I just felt extremely uncared for as an individual. Almost as if I was just a number to them. Not a human being. I sent a long email regarding the entire story of this case, which I was technically supposed to send to the secretaries only, but I found his email and sent it him directly, then carbon copied the secretaries. I told him what I needed for the trial, detailed so much of my concerns, and what I absolutely could not have happen as an outcome of the trial and LITERALLY all I received was an “ok, thank you”. Nothing else. And then he proceeded to take it to trial and get me exactly what I told him I absolutely couldn’t have happen. It makes me sick. I see real law practice within my family, taking DUI calls on Saturday and Sunday morning, telling these worried people how it’s going to be ok and that he’s going to help him take care of it. That’s real hard work and real leadership. Not this circus that took place at Yemc Law Offices.

Michael is kind, understanding, highly-skilled, and has an amazing team - thank you Lucy! I hope you never need to but if you do, call these people - they made a very difficult circumstance for me one that I could manage, learn from, and get beyond, can't thank these folks enough!
