Mar 25, 2025 · Drew LopezAttorney and Law Firm Warning – Personal Knowledge of Client Experience I am writing this review in moral support of Camille Binbek, as I have personal knowledge of how she was mistreated by Attorney Brooke E. Baker and Youngblood Law, PLLC during the brief time they represented her in her divorce case. This review is based on direct conversations with Camille and documents she shared with me. Camille hired Attorney Baker on or around February 12, 2025, solely to schedule and represent her in a De Novo hearing following a ruling from an Associate Judge. Despite paying a $5,000 retainer, no De Novo hearing was ever scheduled. Instead, Attorney Baker scheduled a Pretrial Conference, which the 256th District Court Coordinator confirmed in writing on March 12 and March 14, 2025, was not a De Novo hearing. Camille was charged for the preparation and filing of documents she never approved or reviewed, even after explicitly requesting to review all filings prior to submission. These include the counterpetition and pretrial motion filed in late February 2025. She never saw these documents and had amendments she intended to make. Attorney Baker filed them without her knowledge and billed her over $800 for this. Additionally, Camille submitted a formal billing dispute on March 13, 2025, with follow-ups on March 14 and 21, outlining concerns about unauthorized charges, including a $350 flat fee for incidentals such as travel and printing—which never occurred. Despite Missy McAdoo, the firm’s billing manager, instructing Camille to email her concerns, Missy never acknowledged receipt of the dispute nor responded to the detailed inquiries. As of this review, Camille has received no formal reply, even though Missy’s assistant claimed a response had been provided. There is no evidence of any such reply in Camille’s email records or call logs. Attorney Baker also misrepresented her efforts by claiming she saved Camille’s case from dismissal. However, Camille was not the filing party in the divorce—therefore, the responsibility to maintain the case rested with opposing counsel. Furthermore, a similar issue had already been addressed by Camille’s previous attorney back in January 2025 with a simple phone call. Despite this, Attorney Baker used the situation to justify additional charges, inflating the bill without truly performing any extraordinary or necessary legal action for Camille's case. Camille has been forced to pay for court records herself to verify what was even filed in her name, since Attorney Baker has failed to provide copies or transparency. From my personal perspective as someone who has watched Camille struggle emotionally and financially through this ordeal, I can confidently say that this firm’s conduct has caused her significant intentional emotional distress. She has been left distraught, overwhelmed, and financially burdened without the legal support she was promised. The lack of accountability from this law firm is alarming. In one of her heartfelt emails, Camille even pleaded with Attorney Baker to humanize her case and circumstances, as she was facing the imminent loss of her home. Sadly, this plea was ignored. The case appears to have been treated as nothing more than a financial opportunity, rather than the urgent and deeply personal matter it truly is. As someone who knows Camille personally and considers her a sister in Christ, I am deeply saddened and disturbed by the way this law firm has handled her case. I am writing this to expose what I personally know to be the truth. The public deserves to be warned. Based on my direct knowledge, I believe Attorney Brooke E. Baker exploited Camille’s trust and financial situation for her and the firm's gain. This is unacceptable behavior from any legal professional.
Mar 26, 2025 · Honey BeeThe family of Youngblood was such a great team. Helped me through my divorce, Holly and Nancy are a great team and their staff. Thank you for everything that was accomplished.
May 06, 2025 · Fanny LazoClient Review – Proceed with Caution - Warning I wish I had positive feedback to share about this law firm, but unfortunately, my experience compels me to issue a serious warning—particularly regarding Attorney Brooke E. Baker. I retained this firm with a $5,000.00 deposit specifically to initiate and represent me in a De Novo hearing for my divorce. Over $2,300.00 was spent—yet no De Novo hearing was ever scheduled. Instead, they set a pretrial conference and misrepresented it as a De Novo. When I contacted the court directly, the court coordinator confirmed—not once, but twice—that no De Novo hearing had been scheduled. Despite explicit instructions that I wanted to review all filings before they were sent to the court, I never received a single document for review. There was also a $350.00 incidental charge for travel, printing 300 pages, and court appearances—yet Attorney Baker never stepped foot in court for me, never traveled, and I never received any hard copies. I received a $795.00 bill on Day 1, and even after terminating representation within a month due to lack of progress and transparency, they continued charging my retainer—like the $22.00 fee for records I told them I would obtain myself. They ignored my billing dispute despite instructing me to email them invoice concerns, then falsely claimed they had responded when no communication exists. This firm appears polite until you begin asking tough questions or holding them accountable. The work Brooke claimed to complete lacks supporting documentation or results. Her actions—and lack of them—have delayed my case and put me at serious risk of losing my home. This law firm, and especially Attorney Brooke E. Baker, left me with no progress, no hearing, and no accountability. Listen closely to what is said, verify everything with the court, and do not be swayed by friendly conversation. In my case, what was promised was not delivered. Ask yourself: when the court and the attorney give conflicting information—who do you believe?
