After years in court and a very long 3 weeks in trial, a jury awarded me more money than I could have ever expected. I didn't want to go to trial. May 02, 2023 · Invisible-I work with Mr. Machado's mother in real estate so when I got hit by a car while on my electric scooter, I asked her if she knew a good attorney. She recommended her son. I called him and we spoke for a good while about what had happened after the accident. Starting with the insurance company for the driver blaming me for the accident. He said he would recommend some friends that had more time and resources to battle with this difficult insurance adjuster. Thank God he did. They ended up turning my case around and forcing the driver's insurance to pay me the entire policy. It was a larger policy so that helped a lot. I was so surprised and so grateful. My crash happened early 2019 and I hadn't received any treatment for my injuries, but I was still hurt and it wasn't going away. He was gracious enough to take my case and when the statute of limitations came to file a lawsuit, he was again kind enough to do it while he "investigated thoroughly who and what was involved." The world closed to Covid, but Mr. Machado kept my hopes alive. He kept my case alive when the insurance company said I should be happy with next to nothing because they thought I was making it all up. He litigated the case for two long years. Many hostile depositions. Countless pages of questionning. At the end, he settled my case for full policy limits and put a tremendous amount of money in my pocket. I feel better again.
