I had the MOST INAPPROPRIATE interaction with the secretary! This is why…. We made an appt back in Aug and unfortunately, we had to cancel a few days before. When I cancelled, the woman that answered said that we weren’t even on the schedule for today and my Fathers Will wasn’t on file there. (I verified I was calling the right firm.) Yesterday, I called on my Father’s behalf to inquire about the Will. I explained my Father is non-verbal due to Cancer and told her what was said to me in Aug and asked if they could see if they had his Will on file. The secretary said she would look into it and call me back. She called back and informed me that they didn’t have the Will on file because my Father took the original. I thanked her for the information and told her I’d talk to my Father and get back to her later. That should have been the end of this transaction, right?! Welp, here is where the inappropriateness comes in… The secretary, Marie(a) Walker, decided to call my Mother, and tell her that we were a “no show” at our meeting on Aug 8th (it's Sep 28th.) My Mother is now on defense and asked Ms. Walker why she was calling over a month later… they seem to have got into an argument and Ms. Walker ended up hanging up on her. Once I heard about this random call home, I called and spoke to Ms. Walker, who was now being rude, and I told her that I didn’t understand why she called my Mom and now everyone is upset. Ms. Walker tells me that she spoke to the attorney, and she can’t give me any more information. (I wasn’t asking for any additional information) I asked her for an email address so my Father could communicate with the firm directly. She laughed and said that emailing wouldn’t work but eventually gave me HER email address. Does it stop here? NO! Ms. Walker called my Mother AGAIN and told her that I keep calling the firm and asking for a copy of my Father’s Will. I’m not sure why she decided to lie to my Mother because what Ms. Walker didn’t know is I have a copy of the Will. Again, this made my Mother upset because she didn’t know I was making the inquiry for my Father so she started to argue with Ms. Walker because this phone call is so random and why would I ask for something I have a copy of etc. I never asked for anything other than if they had the Will on file. Ms. Walkers actions were 100% inappropriate and should have never happened! We are taking our services to a firm that has respect for it's clients.

Beagle, Steeves & Ridge Introduce

Beagle, Steeves & Ridge is a law firm located at 1 Northeast Rd in Standish, Maine, 04084. For individuals in Standish and the surrounding areas seeking legal assistance, the firm can be contacted at (207) 642-2888 or via their mobile number, +1 207-642-2888. As a local law practice listed under the "Lawyers Near Me" category, Beagle, Steeves & Ridge aims to provide legal services to the community.

The provided information includes a detailed account of a negative interaction experienced by a potential client with the firm's secretary. This interaction, as described in the review, involved difficulties in scheduling, conflicting information regarding the existence of a document (a Father's Will), and subsequent unsolicited and upsetting phone calls made by the secretary to the potential client's mother. The reviewer expressed significant dissatisfaction with the secretary's conduct, labeling it as "inappropriate" and unprofessional. This single review suggests a potential issue with the firm's administrative and client communication practices, at least in this particular instance. It highlights the importance of professional and respectful interactions between law firm staff and the public, especially when dealing with sensitive legal matters.

The review details a sequence of events that began with the cancellation of an appointment made in August. The reviewer was informed at the time of cancellation that they were not on the schedule and that their Father's Will was not on file. Subsequently, in September, the reviewer contacted the firm again to inquire about the Will on their non-verbal Father's behalf. The secretary reportedly stated that the firm did not have the Will as the Father had taken the original. Following this, the secretary allegedly contacted the reviewer's mother to inform her about a "no show" for the August appointment, leading to an argument and the secretary hanging up. A further call from the reviewer to the secretary to address this resulted in rude behavior and a refusal to provide an email address for direct communication with the firm (instead offering her own). Finally, the secretary is accused of calling the reviewer's mother again with false information about the reviewer repeatedly asking for a copy of the Will, causing further distress.

Based solely on this detailed negative review, it is challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the firm's typical environment, services, and features. The review primarily focuses on a problematic interaction with administrative staff rather than the legal services provided by the attorneys themselves. However, the conduct of the staff can significantly impact a client's perception of the firm as a whole and their willingness to engage their legal services. A negative initial experience, as described, can deter potential clients, regardless of the legal expertise within the firm.

Without additional information or reviews, it is not possible to objectively describe the typical environment within the offices of Beagle, Steeves & Ridge. One might expect a professional setting common to law firms, but the reported interaction raises concerns about the overall client care and communication standards within the practice. Potential clients might be apprehensive about entrusting their legal matters to a firm where administrative interactions are perceived as disrespectful and unprofessional.

Similarly, the specific legal services offered by Beagle, Steeves & Ridge cannot be definitively stated based on the provided text. Typically, law firms handle a range of legal matters, which could include areas such as real estate law, estate planning (including Wills), family law, personal injury, business law, and civil litigation. Given the inquiry about a Will, it is reasonable to assume that estate planning is one of the services potentially offered by the firm. However, without explicit information, a comprehensive list of their legal specializations cannot be provided.

Regarding the features of the firm, such as their approach to client service, expertise of the attorneys, or use of technology, the single negative review offers limited insight. While the reviewer's experience was clearly negative, it is important to acknowledge that this is just one account. However, the issues raised, particularly concerning communication and client relations, are important considerations for potential clients. Features that clients typically look for in a law firm include experienced attorneys, a strong track record, clear and consistent communication, a client-focused approach, and efficient handling of legal matters. The reported interaction with the secretary appears to contradict some of these desirable features.

No promotional information about Beagle, Steeves & Ridge is included in the provided text. Law firms often promote their services through various means, such as online presence (website, directories), community involvement, offering free initial consultations, or highlighting their expertise in specific areas of law. Without such information, it is impossible to comment on any promotional strategies the firm may employ.

Given the serious nature of the complaint detailed in the review, potential local users considering Beagle, Steeves & Ridge for their legal needs should be aware of this feedback. While one negative review does not necessarily reflect the entirety of the firm's practices, it raises valid concerns about the professionalism and client communication of at least one member of their staff. Individuals may wish to inquire specifically about the firm's client service protocols and ensure they feel comfortable with the level of communication and respect they can expect throughout their legal process.

In conclusion, Beagle, Steeves & Ridge is a law firm located in Standish, Maine, reachable at the provided phone numbers. The single review available details a highly negative interaction with the firm's secretary, raising concerns about administrative practices and client communication. Without further information, the specific legal services offered and the overall environment and features of the firm cannot be comprehensively described. Local users in Standish seeking legal representation may want to consider this feedback and potentially seek further information or reviews before engaging the services of Beagle, Steeves & Ridge.

Attorney Tomas is totally unprofessional, uncommunicative, essentially NOT interactive. For months have tried to get a call back, or Email with no response. Her assistant Maria, takes my information and concerns, and Still no response. I have worked with Attorneys for years. This is the WORST experience and total unnecessary.

Have been trying to have decent customer service for weeks. The lawyer never reached out, lack of communication. Mind you, I tried to reach out several times for the status of paperwork and every time I was given a deadline that they couldn’t meet. Come here if you have time to waste!

I had my will/POA done there and needed some things changed and asked the attorney that I worked with to do it and I had to call 7 times over 5 months and never got a response. Called today to speak with a partner about this and the front desk person was like your stuff will be in the mail today and I said I would still like to talk to a partner and then she hung up on me. Very unprofessional all the way around.

If I could leave less than one star I would. I have never spoken with a team more patronizing, and unprofessional as they are. Their lack of urgency, and their procrastination has led to my dropping them as my legal team. Good luck if you choose this route.. you’ll be waiting a while.
