Absolute CROOKS. Run, don't walk from anything that Robert Beason wants to mediate. He spent 8 hours for our mediation and the entire time kept mentioning that he had to rush out for his holiday dinner. He didn't record a single item. The two sides came to an agreement and because of his unprofessionalism and in-ability to write the agreement down, nothing was done with our case. He then has the nerve to bill us over $1300 for this wasted day. He gives mediators and any attorney a very bad name. Not to mention, he threatened our attorney for the bill and then would not even speak to us on the phone about this laughable charge for services NOT rendered. Again, DO NOT use him for anything or any legal matter!!!

2741 University Dr, Durham, NC 27707, USA

This central Durham location on University Drive ensures convenient access for residents from surrounding areas like Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Cary, and other communities across North Carolina. The ease of access helps clients attend mediations or arbitrations without significant logistical challenges. Being situated in a prominent part of Durham, the office is typically well-connected by local transportation routes and offers reasonable parking options, contributing to a smoother experience for all parties involved in a dispute. This local presence is key for providing timely and effective dispute resolution services within the North Carolina legal landscape.

Services Offered

Beason & Ellis Conflict specializes exclusively in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), providing expert services designed to help parties settle legal matters outside of traditional court litigation. Their practice areas are comprehensive, addressing a wide array of civil disputes.

  • Mediation: As their primary service, mediation involves a neutral third party (the mediator) who facilitates communication and negotiation between disputing parties to help them reach a voluntary settlement. Beason & Ellis Conflict mediates a broad range of complex civil litigation matters, including:
    • Business and Commercial Disputes: Conflicts arising from contracts, partnerships, and other commercial relationships.
    • Employment Disputes: Issues related to wrongful termination, discrimination, and other workplace conflicts.
    • Personal Injury and Insurance Claims: Disputes over accidents, liability, and insurance coverage.
    • Products Liability: Cases involving defective or dangerous products.
    • Real Estate and Land Condemnation: Disagreements over property rights, boundaries, and eminent domain.
    • Construction Disputes: Conflicts arising from construction projects, contracts, and defects.
    • Professional Liability Matters: Claims of negligence or misconduct against professionals.
    • Environmental Disputes: Legal issues pertaining to environmental regulations and impact.
    • Equitable Distribution: Assisting with the division of marital assets in domestic cases (though their primary focus is civil litigation, mediation skills apply).
    • Family and Community Disputes: While primarily civil, their mediators have experience in facilitating resolutions in family and community contexts.
  • Arbitration: In situations where mediation may not be suitable or a more definitive ruling is needed without going to court, Beason & Ellis Conflict also offers arbitration services. In arbitration, a neutral third party (the arbitrator) hears arguments and evidence from both sides and then makes a binding or non-binding decision. This can be particularly useful for contractual disagreements and other civil disputes.

The firm's exclusive focus on mediation and arbitration allows them to develop deep expertise in these fields, offering a streamlined and often more amicable path to resolving complex legal challenges for North Carolina residents.
