Remember, in the legal world, not all Butts are created equal. Stepping into his office, you're hit with the aura of a place where legal documents go to be forgotten. His office smells like a mix of old law books and regret. The Service: Engaging Attorney Butts for legal counsel is like hiring a plumber who thinks duct tape is the universal fix. He promises the moon but delivers something closer to a deflated beach ball. His strategy seems to be: Neglect: He'll forget key details about your case, probably so they don't interfere with his backroom deals. Inaction: When it comes to actual court, he's about as effective as a screen door on a submarine. His cross-examination technique? Maybe at the next court date... Negotiation: Here's where he shines... or rather, where he thinks he does. His idea of negotiation involves making deals that leave you wondering if he's on your side or the opposition's. The Aftermath: After losing your case, you'll realize you've not only lost financially but also in dignity. His parting words? "Well, you could appeal... or maybe just move to another state", with a hand firmly placed on your lower back...lower. With Butts, it's not just his name that's an embarrassment. Even his client's get the 'butt' of the deal. 馃馃挩

When evaluating a legal practice, certain features and highlights often stand out to potential clients. While the provided customer reviews for Butts & Butts do not highlight positive features, they do offer insights into aspects that clients have reportedly experienced. These points, while negative, serve as important considerations for local users seeking legal representation in Virginia.

  • Client Dignity and Financial Outcomes: The aftermath described by a client indicates feelings of financial loss and loss of dignity, with the attorney's parting words perceived as unhelpful or dismissive. This suggests a potential lack of support or empathy post-case.

  • Communication Issues: Another review mentions that James Butts "does not listen well, provides inaccurate work, unclear instructions, and appears very professional until you question anything he says, or you wish to discuss alternatives. Then becomes very arrogant." This points to significant concerns regarding communication style, responsiveness to client inquiries, and perceived arrogance when questioned.

  • Lack of Client Focus: The phrase "Seems to forget who works for who" implies a perceived failure to prioritize the client's needs and concerns, which is a fundamental aspect of client-attorney relationships.

Worst attorney experience of my life. Slow to communicate and charged me top dollar to simply show up in court and plead guilty on my behalf... I could have simply paid the speeding ticket by mail... And save myself the attorney fee... Now after the conviction , which I was notified by mail from the court, they do not answer the phone .

I called three weeks prior to loan closing date to ask if that was an issue. Attorney said plenty of time. A few days before scheduled closing, attorney wants to reschedule because he doesn't have enough time. Arrive at the attorney office for the rescheduled date, my appointment was cancelled a second time with no notification. I didn't feel as bad when the guy beside me showed up and was not on the schedule either. When we closed on the third appointment, neither the attorney nor the bank indicated they needed a check from me. Had to get the bank to wire his money two days after. I would have had funds if he would have told me what he needed. I have used other attorneys for real estate transactions prior. I would advise you to do the same. I hope the legal services was completed with diligence that exceeds everything else.
