Update: SCAM ALERT! After training to become a legal secretary, I found that firms generally don't require a fee for a first consultation. Do not pay these people for an initial fee, a good law firm will evaluate your case for FREE! $175 got me 10 minutes of being told to "just move out!" when presented with evidence of a retaliatory eviction. "Take him to small claims!" they said, with no response beyond "it's easy, just take him to small claims" when asked about what to do. No explanation as to how to do this, just a shrug and another goading into figuring it out myself. They told me to send a letter but didn't offer to draft it, as one might think a legal firm would, especially considering the exorbitant price of a single meeting. The condescension brought my Mr. Farahani is barely offset by Ms. Campbell's waif-like presence, saying she cares, they both care, when a week later they won't remember your name or your case. Don't try to email back for help, either, they'll just forward it to the receptionist and ask for another $175, a practice I consider unheard of. Don't be taken advantage of and taken in by the professional, understanding exterior. You'll lose more money from them than gain and the advice is a google search away. I'm very disappointed.

Aug 06, 2024 · JaneyThis review is for both Ms. Campbell and Mr. Farahani as I met with both of them. This was actually my second time seeking help from them. First was back in 2018, I paid the $175 consultation fee for a short meeting and I feel like I received sufficiently satisfactory consultation. I once again had a similar problem with my landlord so I made an appointment and paid the consultation fee again to meet with them. Both of them were nice enough, listened to my situation, and told me about the new state-wide rent control law that will positively affect my situation effective January 1, 2020. I was of course pleasantly surprised to learn about a new law that was enacted that was going to help my family out. But I noticed an obvious problem with the legal advice I received once I returned home and browsed the web about the new state-wide rent control law - there is a clear exception under the new law for mom-and-pop properties including condo units owned by individuals. So I did what most people would've done in the situation and sent an email to both attorneys asking them to confirm whether the exception applied to my case. I received no response. So I called the office and was informed by the receptionist to send an email to the attorneys or alternatively pay another $175 consultation fee to see them in person. So I sent a follow up email. No response. It has now been 2 weeks since my meeting with the attorneys and I still have no answer. Given that my follow up question was directly related to the advice given to me by the attorneys, I feel like the attorneys had professional responsibility to clear up the confusion. In fact, I feel like they've committed malpractice by telling me about a law without asking me a single question to find out whether my situation would fall under a very clear exception. Both attorneys reviewed a copy of the move out notice and my lease, which clearly had a unit number on the premise section. Yes, someone can easily assume that a unit number indicates that I live in an apartment building, and thus does not fall under the exception. But if you are attorneys who represent yourselves as tenant attorneys, how do you not ask whether you live in a condo unit? Again, I met with both attorneys who are named partners of the firm. I still don't know for a fact how the new rent control law applies to my case; so I have made two FREE consultations with other law firms to get more information. Save your money and find another law firm. Not only would you waste money but you will receive bad legal advice. If I confirm that I've received sub-standard legal advice from this firm, I will be filing a complaint with the California state bar about this matter against both attorneys.
Dec 08, 2019 · Daniel KimI was very grateful for the expert advice. Mr. Farahani is apparently very skilled in contract law, direct, and together they pointed out that the landlord was in breach of my contract. I appreciated Ms. Campbell's review of my portfolio, and their review of my lease documents and photos. The graciousness of Ms. Campbell was most appreciated, as well her ability to guide me as to how to fill out the Department of Fair Employment & Housing Intake Form to begin the formal complaint process, and to who to file it against. I very much appreciated this consultation, which went over double the scheduled time, and their generosity in refunding me the consultation fee, which I would have gladly paid for their advice. I must also comment on the kindness of their Assistant, Ms. Leslie Richardson, who from the beginning was most helpful. I only wish they could have taken the case and represented me, but it was financially unfeasible, since my case could involve thousands of dollars in expenditures and result onlly in a non-monetary award. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MEETING WITH ME.
Nov 09, 2019 · Sharifah RossoMs. Campbell has no tact and is unprofessional to say the least. She volunteers her time as an attorney for what reason? I believe it is to try to get clients who want to sue for a large amount. She was rude, pushy, cynical, undermining. She rudely and disparagingly cuts you off as you speak. She offers no words of advice, only belittling comments.. She should not be practicing law or any people-oriented profession.
May 27, 2023 · Cnan AI was referred by a friend of mine. I was told they are great. I didn't even think a minute to pay them $175 for a consultation. They told me I can email or contact them if I have any questions. But when I emailed them about the same issue of course, they never responded and the front desk employee told me I have to pay another $175 for a question! This is a joke. Will never trust them again any case, they just want to get reach by getting $175 of each question. Please, save your time and money and go to someone else who is interested not about money only
