Everyone who interacts with or has any connection with this lawyer or psychologist has signed their own death wish. No matter what service you receive from this company, you will be double or triple billed and promise to deplete your bank account without doing anything. To be honest, I have thankfully never been a client of this organization, but at my request, Ms. Petrich's firm was contacted to see if it would be a good fit for my case as a parenting coordinator. I had a personal interview with Ms. Petrich in a Zoom session. Additionally, Steven Wasko, an absolute unethical GAL who was assigned to my case, forced me and attempted to appoint Ms. Petrich's firm as my Parenting Coordinator. Without a doubt, GAL, Steven Wasco, and Ms. Petrich are working behind the scenes, under the table, to benefit each other financially, simply by further breaking up divorced families, looting them, and destroying lives that have already experienced hardships. On the day of my scheduled phone call, Ms. Petrich was absent from an appointment I had made and double checked with her office beforehand. A few days before and on the day of my appointment with Ms. Petrich, I received four emails from her office warning me that I would talk to her for no more than 15 minutes or else I will be billed for 1 hour instead of 15 minutes. In the end, Ms. Petrich missed the scheduled phone call with me. Her clerks kept calling me that day, trying to connect me to Mr. Petrich, and trying to cover up their mistakes. I agreed to contact Mr. Petrich to establish the interview. She was also half an hour late after missing the initial scheduled call. When the connection was finally made, Ms. Petrich summoned up the courage to say that although she had no scheduled call to connect and speak with me that day, she was more than happy to continue the conversation, as if she was doing me a favor. During the interview call when I asked Ms. Petrich simple questions, such as how to deal with a spouse who disobeys a court order, she could not answer any of my questions during the interview session, and she said loops and I kept going into a virtual black hole. Aside from deciding NOT to commit to this firm, I must warn you that this firm is highly unethical and unethical like the GAL, Steve Wasco, an absolute assassin to any child. I quickly learned that I only connected to a second child murder who cares less about any divorced family and their mission is only money. They stand by the person who was paid by GAL unofficially through the other party in a divorce case. They don't care about your child's well-being and will definitely charge you as soon as you make a deal with them. If you have any questions or need more information, I'd be happy to explain further. Feel free to google my name and get in touch. I will be more than happy to assist you in any way I can to save your child and you from evil.

Based on the provided information, Dr. Gail Petrich's practice appears to offer services that bridge both legal and psychological domains. Given her identified roles as an "attorney" and "psychologist," as well as references to "parenting coordinator" and "mediator," her services likely include:
Legal Representation and Counseling: As an attorney, Dr. Petrich would provide legal advice, representation, and guidance on various legal matters. While specific practice areas are not detailed, the context of "divorced families" suggests a focus on family law. This could include aspects of divorce proceedings, allocation of parental responsibilities (child custody), child support, and spousal maintenance.
Psychological Services: In her capacity as a psychologist, Dr. Petrich would offer psychological assessments, counseling, and therapeutic support. This might be particularly relevant in cases where psychological factors impact legal outcomes, such as in family disputes, or where individuals need support navigating stressful legal processes.
Parenting Coordination: A "parenting coordinator" is typically a neutral third party appointed by the court or agreed upon by parents to help high-conflict divorced or separated parents implement their parenting plan, resolve disputes, and reduce conflict. This role heavily integrates both legal understanding of court orders and psychological insight into family dynamics.
Mediation Services: As a "mediator," Dr. Petrich would facilitate communication and negotiation between disputing parties to help them reach mutually acceptable agreements outside of court. This is common in family law, aiming to resolve conflicts more amicably and efficiently.
Integrated Legal and Psychological Approach: The core offering appears to be the unique integration of legal and psychological expertise. This dual background allows for a more holistic approach to cases, particularly those involving family issues, where emotional and psychological well-being are as critical as legal outcomes. This could involve understanding family dynamics, assessing mental health aspects, and applying that understanding to legal strategies.
Prospective clients should directly contact Dr. Gail Petrich's office to confirm the full range of services offered and to discuss how her unique qualifications might apply to their specific legal and/or psychological needs.
Based on the provided customer reviews, the perception of features and highlights for Dr. Gail Petrich's practice varies significantly. It is crucial to present both positive and negative feedback to provide a balanced overview for prospective clients in Illinois. Here are reported features and highlights:
Dual Professional Qualification: A primary highlight is Dr. Gail Petrich's unique qualification as both an attorney and a psychologist. This dual expertise is seen by some as potentially offering a more comprehensive and integrated approach to complex cases, particularly those involving family law where psychological factors are often intertwined with legal disputes.
Experience as a Mediator and Attorney: One positive review praises her as a "well rounded mediator, attorney and psychologist," suggesting experience in these multiple roles within the legal and mental health fields.
Perceived Integrity and Care (from one client): A positive review describes her as "dependable," "very intelligent," and performing "all actions with integrity and honesty." This client also noted her as "extremely considerate of my concerns and well being," and "unique, kind and trustworthy." This indicates that at least one client has experienced a high level of personal and professional care.
Central Chicago Location: As noted previously, the office at 30 N Michigan Ave is a significant highlight for accessibility, making it convenient for clients throughout Illinois to reach.
However, it is equally important to present concerns raised by other reviews, as these also describe perceived features of the practice:
Significant Concerns Regarding Billing Practices: Multiple negative reviews allege issues with billing, including "double or triple billed" for services and promises to "deplete your bank account without doing anything." These are serious accusations that suggest a potential lack of transparency or fairness in financial dealings, as perceived by these clients.
Allegations of Unethical Conduct/Financial Benefitting: Some highly critical reviews explicitly accuse Dr. Petrich's firm of "working behind the scenes, under the table, to benefit each other financially," particularly in connection with a Guardian ad Litem (GAL). These are very serious claims of unethical behavior and potential conflicts of interest.
Issues with Communication and Punctuality: Several reviews describe significant problems with missed appointments, unresponsiveness, and tardiness. Clients reported having appointments missed, being called by clerks trying to "cover up their mistakes," and experiencing significant delays. One client noted Dr. Petrich being "half an hour late after missing the initial scheduled call."
Perceived Lack of Knowledge/Evasiveness During Consultations: A review stated that during an interview call, Dr. Petrich "could not answer any of my questions" regarding dealing with a spouse disobeying a court order, leading to perceived "loops" and a "virtual black hole." This suggests a potential lack of clear or direct advice during initial consultations.
Stringent Billing for Short Interactions: One client reported receiving "four emails from her office warning me that I would talk to her for no more than 15 minutes or else I will be billed for 1 hour instead of 15 minutes," indicating a very strict policy on consultation timing and billing that caused client frustration.
Prospective clients should carefully consider all aspects of these reviews and conduct their own thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the office, before engaging services.
As a professional offering legal and psychological services, Dr. Gail Petrich's practice does not typically offer "promotions" or "special offers" in the retail sense. The provision of legal counsel, psychological therapy, parenting coordination, or mediation services is generally based on professional fees, which are structured to reflect the complexity of the case, the time and expertise required, and the specific services rendered. Fees can vary widely depending on the nature of the engagement (e.g., hourly rates for legal work, session fees for therapy, or potentially flat fees for specific mediation processes).
The primary "offer" in seeking services from a professional like Dr. Gail Petrich would be the opportunity for an initial consultation. This meeting typically allows prospective clients to discuss their situation, receive a preliminary assessment, and understand how her unique dual background might be beneficial. During such a consultation, it is crucial for clients to clearly inquire about fee structures, billing practices, and any potential costs associated with the services. As highlighted in some reviews, there have been concerns about billing transparency and unexpected charges, making it even more important for potential clients to clarify all financial aspects upfront.
It is always recommended to directly communicate with Dr. Gail Petrich's office to understand her specific fee arrangements for different services and to address any concerns regarding billing or scheduling. This direct communication is the most effective way to gain clarity on the financial aspects and service delivery expectations.

Prospective clients are encouraged to call during business hours to speak with her office staff and arrange an appointment. When making contact, it would be beneficial to briefly explain the nature of your needs (whether legal, psychological, or requiring a combined approach) so that the office can best assess how to assist you.
