I came to Hurwitz Law seeking support for a retaliation and wrongful termination case. I submitted a detailed timeline, documentation, and a clear settlement demand. Unfortunately, my experience was both dismissive and deeply disappointing. My assigned attorney, Brendan, never scheduled a call to review the facts of my case or hear my side directly after the intake call. All communication was via email. After submitting my demand letter, I received no response for several days. When I followed up and offered a compromise to open negotiations, I was dismissed and told that my “reasonable expectations” were the only reason they took the case. Referencing a number I shared during an overwhelmed intake moment felt emotionally manipulative. After I requested reassignment to another partner - something well within my rights - I was removed as a client entirely. I later received an email from the principal attorney, Noah Hurwitz, pressuring me to remove a truthful, 1-star review. He implied that leaving the review could hurt my legal position and offered to refer me to another lawyer only if I deleted it. This message felt coercive and unethical. No apology was offered—only guilt, shame, and defense of his colleague’s behavior. I am sharing this to help others understand that this firm may not be the right fit if you’re seeking trauma-informed advocacy or respectful, collaborative representation. I was not treated with empathy, transparency, or care. If you are in a vulnerable place and need to be heard, proceed with caution.

The office of Hurwitz Law PLLC is situated in Ann Arbor, Michigan, a city known for its vibrant community and academic environment. The address, 340 Beakes St Suite 125, suggests a professional office within a multi-tenant building. While specific details about the interior environment are not publicly available, a typical law office in such a setting would offer a professional, private, and confidential space for client consultations. The environment is generally designed to facilitate serious discussions and ensure client comfort and privacy, adhering to professional standards expected of a legal practice.
Hurwitz Law PLLC appears to focus primarily on areas of law that involve protecting individual rights, particularly within the employment context. While a comprehensive list of all services is not provided in the given information, the client reviews strongly indicate a specialization in:
Employment Law: This seems to be a significant area of practice for Hurwitz Law PLLC. The firm handles cases related to wrongful termination and workplace retaliation, as evidenced by one of the detailed client reviews. This suggests they represent employees who believe their dismissal or adverse employment actions were unlawful. Their services would likely include advising on employee rights, negotiating with employers, and pursuing litigation when necessary to achieve justice for clients facing unfair treatment in the workplace.
Civil Rights and Constitutional Law: A notable case mentioned in the reviews involves representation for individuals terminated due to a vaccine mandate. This suggests the firm undertakes cases that delve into broader civil rights and constitutional issues, particularly those pertaining to individual liberties and mandates impacting employment. This area of law can be complex, involving deep analysis of federal and state laws, and potentially challenging corporate or governmental policies.
Given the nature of these cases, it can be inferred that Hurwitz Law PLLC is involved in litigation, representing clients in disputes that may proceed through various legal stages, from initial negotiations to court proceedings and settlements. The firm's work appears to involve detailed investigation, documentation, and strategic legal planning.
Regarding the features of Hurwitz Law PLLC, based on the provided customer reviews, there are varying perspectives. One review highlights what can be considered positive aspects of the firm's service. For instance, Noah Hurwitz, the principal attorney, is noted for his guidance and leadership throughout a lengthy and complex lawsuit involving approximately 300 terminated employees. The client in this specific case expressed high satisfaction, particularly with Noah's commitment to ensuring reinstatement as part of their settlement. This indicates a feature of dedicated advocacy, persistence, and a willingness to negotiate robustly on behalf of clients, even in challenging and prolonged cases. The review also commends Noah's availability for questions and his ability to clarify complex legal wording, suggesting a commitment to client understanding and accessibility.
However, another review presents a contrasting experience, providing critical insights into certain aspects of the firm's client interaction. This review points to a perceived lack of empathy and transparency. The client reported issues with communication, specifically that their assigned attorney, Brendan, did not schedule a direct call to review case facts after the initial intake, relying solely on email communication. The client also felt dismissed and that their reasonable expectations were used against them, leading to a feeling of emotional manipulation. A significant concern raised was the firm's response after the client requested reassignment to another partner, which resulted in the client being removed entirely. Furthermore, the principal attorney, Noah Hurwitz, is stated to have pressured the client to remove a negative, truthful review, implying it could harm their legal position and offering a referral only if the review was deleted. This action was perceived as coercive and unethical, lacking an apology and instead defending the colleague's behavior. This feedback suggests that while some clients experience dedicated advocacy, others may find the firm's approach to client communication and conflict resolution to be less empathetic or collaborative, particularly in sensitive situations or when client expectations differ from the firm's assessment.
In terms of promotional information, the provided reviews offer direct, unfiltered insights from actual customers. The positive review serves as a strong endorsement for Noah Hurwitz's capability and commitment in complex, high-stakes cases, particularly in achieving specific client objectives like reinstatement. It speaks to the firm's ability to navigate lengthy legal processes with patience and persistence, ultimately delivering results that satisfy clients. The client's willingness to "recommend the services of Hurwitz Law Firm to others" is a significant promotional point.
Conversely, the negative review serves as a cautionary note, highlighting potential areas where the firm's approach might not align with every client's needs, especially those seeking "trauma-informed advocacy or respectful, collaborative representation." It cautions potential clients who are in a "vulnerable place and need to be heard" to "proceed with caution," indicating that the firm's communication style or client handling might not be universally perceived as empathetic or transparent. This dual perspective is crucial for an objective introduction, as it presents a more complete picture of client experiences.
In conclusion, Hurwitz Law PLLC, located in Ann Arbor, MI, appears to specialize in employment law, particularly cases involving wrongful termination and issues arising from vaccine mandates, alongside broader civil rights and constitutional law matters. While the firm has demonstrated strong advocacy and achieved positive outcomes for some clients, as highlighted by a successful reinstatement case, other client experiences indicate potential areas of concern regarding communication, empathy, and client handling, particularly when disagreements arise. For local users on the Lawyers Near Me platform, it is important to consider both positive and negative feedback when evaluating Hurwitz Law PLLC to determine if their approach aligns with individual legal needs and expectations for client-attorney interaction. Those considering their services are encouraged to engage in a thorough consultation to ascertain if the firm is the right fit for their specific situation, particularly if they are seeking a highly empathetic and collaborative legal process.

May 22, 2025 · BriannaApproximately 300 employees were terminated from our organization due to refusing to be vaccinated for the vaccine mandate. 14 of us decided to have Noah Hurwitz and his firm represent us in a lawsuit. Noah directed and guided us throughout the whole process. Although it took a long time, Noah kept encouraging us to be patient as these processes do take time. I was the only one of the 14 that wished to be reinstated. Noah pushed and negotiated terms that would make sure that that happened as part of our settlement. Whenever I had questions he made himself available to get the answers that I needed. If some of the wording of things were a bit too much he would make sure that we understood. I am very satisfied with the services we received and would recommend the services of Hurwitz Law Firm to others. Thank You Noah and Team!!

Jan 08, 2025 · Sapphire HuizingaI cannot say enough good things about working with Noah and his team. I was in a tricky situation that felt hopeless when I reached out to Noah's office. Throughout the process, I felt like the team took the time to truly listen to what I had to say, asked questions to verify understanding, and gave me great guidance and support.
