Zero stars for this attorney. She represented me in mediation and did nothing to fight for my kid. Two days before mediation, she asked “why would she ask for child support if you are in 50/50?”. One day before mediation, i wanted to postpone it due to several reasons and she said “lets just do it and see what happens”. Mediation was 8 hours of her and the mediator giving me the ultimatum “either take this agreement or lose in court”. She was very coercive and quite clear that she had no intention of fighting for me. She repeatedly hid behind “i wasnt his attorney then” as her excuse to play dumb and allow mediation to be an exercise in blackmail and coercion. I had 50/50 with my son for the 2.5 years this divorce has dragged out. I now dont. Laurie sucks at communication and simply didnt answer most of my questions. It took her days to weeks to respond to anything. All she wants is your money. If your fine with a lawyer who doesnt communicate, doesnt prepare and simply shows up for your money, then she is for you. Im at a loss for how bad she has been in my case.

For individuals in Seattle, Washington, and the surrounding areas seeking legal assistance in family law matters, Laurie G. Robertson, Washington Family Law Group, PLLC, is an option to consider within the "Lawyers Near Me" platform category. Located at 16000 Christensen Rd #304A, Seattle, WA 98188, USA, the firm can be reached by phone at (206) 686-3273 or via mobile at +1 206-686-3273.

Information regarding the specific environment of Laurie G. Robertson, Washington Family Law Group, PLLC's office is not extensively detailed. However, it is typical for family law practices to maintain a private and professional setting where clients can discuss sensitive personal matters related to divorce, child custody, and other family law issues. Clients can likely expect a confidential space for consultations and meetings within their suite on Christensen Road in Seattle.

Based on the available reviews from real customers, Laurie G. Robertson appears to specialize in family law, with specific mentions of representation in divorce and mediation proceedings. However, the client feedback presents a stark contrast in experiences. One set of reviews expresses significant dissatisfaction with the attorney's representation during mediation, alleging a lack of advocacy, poor communication, and a focus solely on fees. These reviews detail instances of perceived unpreparedness, coercive tactics during mediation, and a failure to adequately address the client's concerns, particularly regarding child custody and support.

Specifically, one reviewer recounts feeling pressured during an eight-hour mediation, presented with an ultimatum to accept an agreement or face potential loss in court. This client also alleges that the attorney did not actively fight for their interests and used past non-representation as an excuse to avoid addressing certain issues. The client further criticizes the attorney's communication, stating a lack of responsiveness to questions and significant delays in replies. The outcome of this case was a loss of previously held 50/50 custody of their child.

In stark contrast, another reviewer describes Laurie Robertson as a "fantastic lawyer" who handled their divorce case "very well." This client praises the attorney for consistently keeping them updated on the progress of their case and for maintaining a professional demeanor throughout the process. This positive feedback suggests that some clients have had favorable experiences with Laurie G. Robertson's representation in family law matters.

The conflicting nature of these reviews makes it challenging to definitively characterize the features of Laurie G. Robertson's practice. While one client experienced a lack of communication and perceived lack of preparation, the other reported consistent updates and professionalism. This discrepancy highlights the subjective nature of client experiences and the importance of considering multiple perspectives when evaluating a legal professional.

In terms of promotional information, the positive review serves as a direct endorsement of Laurie Robertson's handling of divorce cases, recommending her services. However, this positive portrayal is significantly countered by the detailed negative experiences shared by other clients, which raise serious concerns about the attorney's approach to mediation, communication, and client advocacy. Objectively, both sets of reviews provide insights into past client experiences, and potential clients should consider both positive and negative feedback when making a decision.

For users of the "Lawyers Near Me" platform in Seattle, WA, Laurie G. Robertson, Washington Family Law Group, PLLC, is a local option for family law matters, including divorce and mediation. However, the strong divergence in client reviews necessitates careful consideration. The positive review suggests satisfactory service in at least one divorce case, while the negative reviews raise serious allegations regarding the attorney's conduct during mediation, communication, and commitment to client advocacy.

Given the conflicting feedback, potential clients should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence before engaging Laurie G. Robertson's services. This might include seeking additional reviews from other sources, if available, and potentially contacting the attorney for an initial consultation to discuss their specific needs and assess the attorney's communication style and approach to their case. It would be prudent to ask detailed questions about the attorney's experience with mediation and their strategies for advocating for their clients' interests in such proceedings.

In conclusion, Laurie G. Robertson, Washington Family Law Group, PLLC, located in Seattle, WA, offers legal services in family law, including divorce and mediation. While one client reported a positive experience characterized by good communication and professionalism, other clients expressed significant dissatisfaction, alleging poor communication, lack of preparation, and inadequate advocacy during mediation. Potential clients using the "Lawyers Near Me" platform should carefully weigh these contrasting reviews and conduct thorough research to determine if this firm aligns with their specific needs and expectations for legal representation in family law matters.

The serious allegations raised in the negative reviews, particularly concerning the handling of mediation and communication, warrant careful consideration. Conversely, the positive feedback indicates that some clients have found Laurie Robertson to be a capable and communicative attorney. Ultimately, prospective clients must reconcile these differing perspectives and make an informed decision based on their individual circumstances and the level of risk they are willing to accept. Direct communication with the firm and potentially seeking second opinions from other family law attorneys in the Seattle area may be advisable.

I received a letter in the mail requiring a family court appearance in Washington State, I can remember being in a full panic when I received the letter because I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. When I did a quick search for attorneys in Everett, WA I came across Laurie Robertson. I spoke with Laurie about the situation I was going through and informed her of the summons I received from the family court in Everett. This was the first step in a 2 year process that involved an extremely complicated custody case involving two states 3,000 miles apart. During this process Laurie showed extreme dedication and emotional support when it was needed. Laurie was able to calm me down several time through these past two years and to focus on the big picture. This was extremely difficult to handle at times, but with her confidence and support I was able to understand that there was more to this case then what is happening “right now”. During the process Laurie continued to get me more and more visitation with my son, it was extremely costly to bring him across the country, but the visitation became 14 days per month until we finally went to trial. After many trials, tribulations, guardian investigations, psychological evaluations, flights to and from Washington, we finally went to trial. I can’t stress enough how strongly I believe in Laurie and how well she knows the law. She has been doing this for a VERY long time, and if you could have heard how she performed in the court room you could be nothing less than amazed. In the end, my son was placed in my care and I could not be any happier with the results. Every struggle and expense throughout the process was worth it. IF you are a father that wants to be a part of your child’s life then LAURIE ROBERTSON can, and will help you. I will be maintaining Laurie as my primary attorney in Washington state.

Mrs. Robertson is an absolutely incredible divorce attorney. I cannot thank or recommend her enough. My case was a mess from the start. But, she just keep fighting and fighting for me and what was right. And, when my ex refused to be reasonable at mediation, we just went to trial. Laurie did an incredible job at trial. We kicked ass! I am so grateful to her and her team for everything they have done for me and my kids. I highly recommend her!!! Thanks again for everything Laurie!!!!!

Let me preface this by stating that Laurie Robertson was the opposing attorney in my case, and that the following are the simple facts. In November of 2014 my ex and I attended a meditation session in which we established a CR2A and a Parenting Plan. During the meditation Laurie informed me that I could expect final documents drafted and ready to sign within 3 weeks. 7 months have passed and I am now facing a noncompliance fee from the courts, the pending closure of my case without the CR2A/Parenting Plan having been filed, and possible harm to my daughter from her mother's side of the family without the legal protection the CR2A and parenting plan would provide, and this is all a result of Laurie failing to follow through on her promise to submit said documents to the courts. After dozens of calls and emails spanning this 7 month period, Laurie has refused to take or respond to my calls/emails; 6 weeks ago her secretary informed me in no uncertain terms that Laurie would not interact with me in any capacity. 5 weeks ago I called again only to be informed that Laurie had gone home for the day, yet when I arrived less than an hour later she was clearly present in her office. She refuse to give me the original CR2A and Parenting Plan so that I could file them myself, since she had failed to do so, but assured me that 3 weeks from that day she would have the final documents drafted and ready to submit to the courts, a task that should have been complete in mid December of last year. 5 weeks have now passed since this last promise and yet she has once again failed to follow through with her promises, not so much as even reaching out to me to inform me she would need more time; what's more, she continues avoiding my calls and emails, refuses to respond, and has instructed security to escort me out should I drop by again. As of today I have given her until this coming Monday to have my documents ready, and should they not be, I will be filing a grievance against her with the Washington State Bar Association. The following will now be purely opinion on my part. Laurie Gail Robertson appears to be actively subverting the intention behind the establishment of our CR2A/Parenting plan, which, when it comes to the safety and well-being of my child, is a blatant ethical violation. What's more, she has repeatedly promised to draft and submit these documents to the courts, yet fails to follow through, which leads me to question her integrity. It is my belief that Laurie is either willfully derelict in her duties, despite what harm it may indirectly cause to my daughter, and lacks even a shred of integrity, or she is incompetent as an attorney. I would encourage you to seek counsel elsewhere.
