Mr. Mulligan handled my I-130 petition after we'd received a Request for Further Evidence letter. When my husband and I were shopping around for the best immigration lawyer within our budget, we got in touch with Dennis Mulligan and he told us that he would charge us $1000 for the first part of the immigration process. Cynthia Tejeda, who was Mr. Mulligan's secretary at the time, collected all the required documents and information and then submitted the petition. Considering that my case was very straight-forward, everything went well and my petition was approved. Mr. Mulligan told us that he would charge additional $1500 for the 2nd portion of the case and we decided not to hire him for the entire case -because a) we did not find it necessary and b) we could not afford it at the time - and agreed to pay him $350 per hour for his assistance in completing the paperwork. Because my first part of the case had gone smoothly, my husband and I trusted him blindly and that was our blunder. There were mistakes and missing signatures in the completed form and we ended up receiving letter about the application form being incomplete twice and each time we had to wait for more than 6 weeks for the application to be processed. When I contacted Mr. Mulligan after we had received the letter from the NVC the 2nd time, he said that it is impossible that the forms/documents were incomplete. When I asked him if he could check the copy of the forms he made for his records, he said he did not make any because we did not hire him for the entire case which was not true because after my husband went to him for the 2nd time, I spoke to Dennis and was told that he is going to keep a copy of all documents for himself in case something happens. I asked him what we were going to do and he told me to wait for the NVC to send me the entire form back and then I can call him back. NVC NEVER SENDS THE ENTIRE FORM BACK. They just send you a letter stating what is missing or incorrect on your from and you are supposed to fill out the entire application and send it to them along with any requested document(s). The third time, I decided to take matter in my hands and filed my application on my own and it did get approved. Bottom line - I did NOT have a good experience with Mr. Mulligan and ended up experiencing a lot of unnecessary stress due to the incompetence/irresponsible/unprofessional behavior of his. I would NOT recommend him to anybody.
