PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE PROCEEDING. They got me for $2,095. The story: February 7, 2025 I paid $2,095 for chapter 7 bankruptcy. They then provide an app to submit all of your personal/financial documents. The app is very slow & majority of my documents were not received on their end, so I had to submit them multiple times prolonging the process. The lady assigned to my case was very difficult to understand & communicate with. I cannot fully put the blame on them for how long it took to get my documents submitted, but i also wouldn’t find out until days after my document submission if they received it on their end or not. It took two months to get my documents submitted, only to find out they need additional documents to start the bankruptcy that I do not have/can not provide. If I am unable to provide the necessary documents required to start the bankruptcy, cancellation & a “partial of full refund” would be the only thing that makes sense. They are refusing to provide a refund due to time spent on my case. The only time spent on my case would be calling me twice a week to me know they didn’t get a document on their end. I paid a fixed price of $2,095.00 as stated above. When my refund was requested, they stated only a partial refund would be submitted due to time spent on the case. I get it, maybe keep $500 for the very little time spent. MAYBE $1,000 MAX!!!! AGAIN-the case was never started because I could not provide documents needed!! The icing on the cake is this email I received after calling for an update on the refund process- “ Your petition had been started and our office was working diligently towards your filing prior to your decision to no longer proceed. The final billing came to $2485.00; you have paid $2095.00 towards the attorney fees. There is no refund due at this time as all fees have been earned. I have also zeroed out the balance so that nothing further is due to our office.” Need a refund? Nope! You owe us money! Insanity…. I really hope this helps someone. Thank you.
