She helped us get on paper the plans for what happens with our estate and children if the worst were to happen. It's not fun to think about but it was really great working through it with Marina. These are not words I would typically use to describe interactions with a lawyer or the activity of planning for our untimely demise but Marina made it seamless and surprisingly enjoyable. We're grateful for her expertise and her fun personality was a bonus. She was responsive, organized, and personable—and most importantly, she was on top of things (i.e. she sent us friendly but firm emails with tight deadlines to make sure we didn’t procrastinate...which we totally would have). We are glad we found her. She was a delight to work with. 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

She offered an initial consultation via zoom then setup another meeting to walk us through all of the planning. The final step was to meet in person and get all the documents notarized. She was extremely efficient and professional - the process took less than a month. She went above and beyond with answering all of our questions and being very flexible with our schedules . We highly recommend Marina to anyone who needs estate planning services or updates to their wills and trusts. We appreciate everything she did for us and will use her services again if we ever need to make updates!

I was reluctant to hire anyone thinking I could handle the estate myself and even more so when I received a fee schedule. After much thought, investigation into what settling the estate would probably entail, and pricing other sources I decided Modlin Legal was probably a good choice. I could not have been more right. Marina Modlin was professional at every turn and helped me through the whole process. She explained everything that was going on and helped me decipher all the forms and procedures of the numerous companies, financial institutions, and government entities that had to be dealt with. She was timely and diligent in completing the things she could /needed to take care of for me. With the things that fell to my discretion, she presented the facts and options and allowed me to have the final say on all matters. I live in Utah so most of our communication was by e-mail. At one point, I became concerned with the direction things seemed to be going. Marina arranged a FaceTime meeting so she could be sure we understood each other. She took her time to explain everything that was going on, as many times as I needed it explained, and cleared up all my concerns. Part of the estate went to probate. That process was, for me, mostly just a waiting game. Marina did all the work with the court, sending me an occasional form to sign. She made dealing with the court almost unnoticeable to me. Marina was always prompt and thorough in all matters. Although it is obviously not true, I never once felt I was anything other than her only client. I am glad my sister chose Modlin Legal to draw up her trust and will and I am very glad I chose to enlist Marina’s help settling the estate.
