Dec 20, 2024 · Kristen FrolichTerrible law firm, I only put one star so I can write this review, I must say John Malchow is a dishonorable lawyer & money hungry, here are a few examples why I say this, first court appearance he was shaking the entire time as if he has never been to court, he did not seem confident. The important information that should have been told to the judge I had to remind him, it’s as if he had a brain freeze. He would email me everyday how is my daughter doing, and how the drop off went and would charge me for it. I mean shouldn’t the client call if there was an issue, he clearly doesn’t have much clients because he had a lot of time to email me daily on how my kid is doing rather then working to help my case. That clearly was a way for him to get easy money, he left me a voicemail and charged me for that, when I mentioned it to him he stated, “well I can remove that fee”, this man is so money hungry he would stay behind his computer to send out unnecessary emails daily to make a couple 1000’s off someone. I had him represent me for only 3 months before I let him go and have a balance of 8,000 plus, I paid him over 6,000. He is greedy and TERRIBLE at his job. My current lawyer has been representing me for over 8 months and did not ask half of what Mr. Malchow asked, total rip off. Oh and also I told him an important piece of information that needed to be added in my case, he expressed that it would not make a difference in my case, my current lawyer add it to my case and it made a great deal of a difference, Mr. Malchow does not want to work he wants easy money as if people are his bank account. People like that will never get far in there career with that greed. I hope he changes his behavior and greed because god don’t like ugly. In conclusion I would never recommend John Malchow to represent anyone, there are great lawyers out there who will advocate for you, John Malchow is not one of them. I also called the bar association to report him because this is not ok and I hope no one has to go through what I did. Now I have a balance that I will be disputing, a waste of time.

Without getting into the details, I want to share that Britt is knowledgeable, accessible, strategic, efficient, courteous, and straightforward. Britt is the kind of attorney who understands that while this is his profession, it is new for you as the client, someone who is not in a courtroom every day (or in my case, ever, before this...). It is clear that Britt is highly skilled, enjoys what he does, and that he's genuinely invested in his cases. Britt laid things out clearly for me, but also smartly insulated me from some of the smaller details of his efforts that would have only served to amplify my stress in this already very difficult situation. That level of intuitive kindness is tough to find. He met me where I was in my limited to nonexistent understanding of the legal system and managed to land the best outcome possible for everyone involved. Additionally, his laser focus on resolving even complex, nuanced matters, rather than ratcheting up tensions, was refreshing. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, I only wish I had used the Simon Law Group for my divorce proceedings. I cannot thank the Simon Law Group enough for their invaluable guidance. Nobody wants to go to court, but if you have to, I recommend contacting Simon Law Group. They will do right by you.

During that time, we appointed me as administrator (no will), cleared title to my fathers estate, waived a sizable lien from the property, legally evicted someone from the home in a timely and flexible manner, sold the home, and successfully released my duties as an active administrator. To do all this in a span of 2 years is remarkable and it is thanks to John’s work ethic, emotional intelligence, and know-how. He answers emails within 24 hours, does his due-diligence, and is very, very kind. His representation of me in court for the eviction process was straightforward and accurate. A very complicated two years yielded a highly desirable outcome with minimal stress in the end. You’re in good hands if you ever work with John. Helen, the secretary, and I have exchanged a few words here and there. She’s always pleasant to talk to when entering Simon Law Group. I would recommend John Malchow any time. I feel that he can do so much more good for the world, as well. I would be fully supportive of him ever becoming a leader if he ever wanted to one day.
