Terrible experience. I spoke to Carla Trevino about my case and looking for guidance. She wanted my payment information and I told her I did not feel comfortable giving my information without speaking to an attorney first. She insisted I give her my card number and that is wouldn't be charged until I agreed to do it. I spoke with the attorney and decided I wanted to go with someone else other than upright law and I emailed her to cancel and she said it was cancelled. Three days later $500.00 come out of my checking account and I called 3 numbers with no answer. I am furious they did this to me!!! Never again!!!! Do not go with this company!!!!
When facing legal challenges in Orlando, Florida, finding the right legal representation is a critical decision. The "Lawyers Near Me" platform aims to connect local users with suitable legal services. Among the options listed is UpRight Law, located at 11 N Summerlin Ave #225b, Orlando, FL 32801, USA. While the platform provides contact information, including phone numbers (877) 927-5451 and +1 877-927-5451, it's essential for potential clients to carefully consider all available information, particularly customer reviews, before engaging any legal service provider.
The environment of a law firm typically aims to foster trust and professionalism. Clients expect a space where they can discuss sensitive legal matters confidentially and receive clear guidance. While we don't have specific details about the physical office of UpRight Law in Orlando, its location suggests accessibility within the downtown area. However, the online reviews provide insights into the client experience that warrant careful consideration.
Determining the specific legal services offered by UpRight Law requires looking beyond just their presence on a directory. Law firms often specialize in various areas, such as personal injury, family law, bankruptcy, real estate, etc. Without explicit information on their website or provided materials, it's challenging to definitively list their practice areas. However, the negative reviews hint at potential issues related to initial consultations, fee structures, and the handling of client agreements, which could occur across various legal service types.
The features of a law firm that clients typically value include the expertise of their attorneys, their communication practices, their transparency regarding fees, and their commitment to client satisfaction. Unfortunately, the two customer reviews provided paint a concerning picture regarding some of these aspects at UpRight Law.
The first review details a "terrible experience" involving an interaction with Carla Trevino. The reviewer states they were hesitant to provide payment information without first speaking to an attorney. They allege that Ms. Trevino insisted on obtaining their card number, assuring them it wouldn't be charged without their agreement. After speaking with an attorney and deciding to pursue other legal representation, the reviewer claims they emailed to cancel and received confirmation of cancellation. However, three days later, a $500 charge allegedly appeared in their checking account. The reviewer states they attempted to contact the firm via three phone numbers without success and expresses strong dissatisfaction, advising others to avoid the company.
The second review echoes similar negative sentiments, labeling the consultant interaction as a "complete SCAM!!" This reviewer claims they were told the consultation was free but were charged $100 for it. They also allege being told that work would begin immediately, which they state was a "complete LIE!" The reviewer reports paying for the consultation and the first month's agreement but claims to have only received a five-minute phone call from an assigned attorney, providing only contact information. For this brief call, they were allegedly charged $250. Furthermore, the reviewer states that when they attempted to explain their inability to proceed due to financial difficulties during the pandemic, the firm allegedly disregarded their situation and only pushed for a payment plan. The reviewer expresses disillusionment with the firm's approach, contrasting it with the expectation that attorneys should help clients rather than create more problems. They strongly advise against believing what consultants say and assert that the firm does not care about people, labeling them a "total scam."
These two highly critical reviews raise significant concerns about UpRight Law's practices, particularly regarding initial consultations, fee transparency, billing procedures, and client communication. Potential local users considering UpRight Law through the "Lawyers Near Me" platform should carefully weigh these experiences. While every business can have isolated negative feedback, the specific allegations of unauthorized charges, misleading consultation information, and disregard for a client's financial situation are serious and warrant caution.
Given the nature of these reviews, it is difficult to identify positive "features" or any form of "promotional information" that can be objectively derived from this data. Instead, the prevailing message from these customer experiences serves as a warning. Potential clients might want to seek further information from other sources, such as the Better Business Bureau or other online legal directories, to gain a more comprehensive understanding of UpRight Law's reputation and practices.
It is crucial for individuals seeking legal representation to have trust and confidence in their chosen attorney or firm. Transparency in fees, clear communication, and ethical billing practices are fundamental aspects of a professional legal service. The experiences shared in these reviews suggest potential shortcomings in these areas at UpRight Law, at least for these particular clients.
Therefore, while UpRight Law is listed as a legal service provider in Orlando on the "Lawyers Near Me" platform, local users should proceed with extreme caution based on the strongly negative feedback received. It would be prudent to thoroughly research other legal options in the Orlando area, perhaps looking for firms with more consistently positive reviews that highlight transparency, ethical conduct, and effective client communication. Engaging with a legal professional is a significant financial and personal decision, and ensuring a trustworthy and reliable partnership is paramount.
In conclusion, UpRight Law is listed as a law firm in Orlando, Florida. However, the available customer reviews raise serious concerns regarding their consultation practices, billing procedures, and overall client experience. Potential local users seeking legal representation through the "Lawyers Near Me" platform are strongly advised to carefully consider these negative experiences and conduct thorough due diligence, potentially exploring alternative legal service providers in the Orlando area who may offer more transparent and satisfactory client interactions.

Sep 09, 2019 · Stacy SteeleDo not waist your time in talking with a consultant. They are a complete SCAM!! They tell you the consultation is free when it is not. They also tell you they start working with you immediately and that is a complete LIE! They are not there to help you, they just want your money!!! I paid $100 just for the consultation alone and made a first month agreement payment; however, I never submitted ANY documents but my retainer agreement and received a 5 minute phone call from an attorney that was assigned to my case, the only information i received from this call was her contact information and nothing further! And was charged $250 for that! We are in the middle of a pandemic and when i tried to explain why i could not move forward with my case due to financial issues they completely disregarded my financial situation and only wanted to keep me on a payment plan. Attorney's are meant to help you, not give you more problems!! Never believe what you are told even if it sounds right. These people are a total scam and they do not give a damn about the people!

Apr 09, 2020 · Yesenia VegaDo not use this company for bankruptcy. They do not return calls. II paid them in full for my bankruptcy and was almost ready to file after 5 months. Then I get a call from them letting me know that the original lawyer was let go and that I was assigned another. Now when I called the new lawyer, she had no clue to my case and I had to start over. Been a month and I have no idea what's going on. So now I am taking them to small claims court.

Jun 23, 2021 · Branden RitchieI would have given them no stars if I could. After paying them for awhile each month I had to cancel our bankruptcy. We asked for a refund. I spoke with them and they told me they were keeping over $800 in fees. I thought this was ridiculous but figured there is nothing I can do about it. I was told that it would take 30-45 business days in order to get a refund. I called a few weeks later and was hung up on when I asked a few questions. When I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau website, I found out they had a terrible score and that most people who have had to get a refund have had to wait way over the 45 day period.
