I did not receive a fair hearing with Judge Vivian Zumas. I was scheduled to have a court hearing at 11:45 am and was not heard until 1:45 pm. Despite being the last case and waiting 2 hours, the judge didn't even hear my case properly and was rushing to leave. Despite it being a Friday, she has a responsibility to hear out the people who requested a hearing and who waited hours to be heard. There were still 3 hours left until closing, yet she issued her decision within 5 minutes, and when I was trying to present more evidence, she got up said you can appeal my decision if you want and left. That is not right and is really disrespectful. I went to appeal, and apparently it costs $45 to appeal a decision which is ridiculous for me to pay because I wasnt guilty in the first place and if she had let me finish what I was saying then I know she would have also seen that the bpa is not following the law and she is setting the precedent that bethlehem parking is above the law. I shouldn't have had to pay anything, and now I owe $111 on a parking ticket that was not in accordance with the bethlehem parking laws outlined in the bpa website. This is government for you. Unfair, unjust, inequitable, and not representative of the people.
