Melinda is extremely rude! Is she drunk? I, and the rest of the our office, just witness her being sooo rude to one of your clients. She yelled at her and insinuated details of her personal life. After telling Melinda that she was not able to speak long because of being here at work, Melinda continued to yell and scream. I will NEVER use this company and strongly discourage anyone else to use their services. I cannot speak about the actual lawyers because I am not a client, but MELINDA IS DEFINITELY RUINING THEIR REPUTATION!!!!

Harris Matthews & Crowder Introduce

When seeking legal assistance, individuals and businesses in Virginia often look for a firm that is not only competent but also accessible and easy to work with. For residents of Kenbridge, Virginia, and the surrounding communities, **Harris Matthews & Crowder** is a local law office serving various legal needs. Choosing a local firm means having legal support close to home, potentially simplifying the process of addressing legal matters that arise within the unique context of Southside Virginia.

The legal landscape can often feel complex and intimidating, and the experience of interacting with a law firm plays a significant role in a client's overall satisfaction and peace of mind. While the core legal services offered by Harris Matthews & Crowder are aimed at assisting the community, some client experiences highlight challenges with administrative interactions. One review details a highly negative encounter with a staff member named Melinda, citing rudeness and unprofessional behavior towards a client. Another review expresses frustration with the firm's consultation fee policy, where the fee is not credited towards retained services, contrasting with common industry practices. These instances suggest that while the firm likely strives to provide competent legal advice, improvements in administrative responsiveness and client communication protocols, particularly concerning initial inquiries and fee structures, could enhance the overall client experience.

It's important for prospective clients in Virginia to consider both the legal expertise of a firm and the quality of their client service. A local firm operating in Kenbridge would inherently possess familiarity with Virginia state laws and local court procedures in Lunenburg County, which can be an advantage in navigating the legal system. However, as the reviews indicate, the client's journey begins long before meeting an attorney, often with administrative staff. A positive and supportive interaction from the first point of contact is crucial for building trust and setting a constructive tone for legal representation.

For those in Kenbridge and the surrounding areas considering Harris Matthews & Crowder, it may be beneficial to clarify administrative procedures and fee policies upfront to ensure alignment with expectations. The firm, like any professional service, would aim to provide effective legal solutions, and attention to client feedback, particularly regarding staff interactions and billing practices, can contribute to a more consistently positive experience for all Virginians seeking their services.

For information regarding specific promotions or special offers from Harris Matthews & Crowder, it is always recommended that you directly contact their office. Legal services are highly personalized, and any introductory offers or specific fee arrangements would typically be discussed during an initial consultation tailored to your unique legal needs.

Based on one client review, there seems to be a specific policy regarding consultation fees at Harris Matthews & Crowder: "stated I would have to pay for a consultation and that if I retain the money does not go towards the work I need done." Called to do a simple matter, a simple agreed upon property agreement. The receptionist did all she could to make the process difficult, stated I would have to pay for a consultation and that if I retain the money does not go towards the work I need done. Like no I dont need a consult, I need a price for you to do the paperwork and get it filed. And all others if you pay a consultation fee it goes towards the work being done
