Client experiences provide valuable insights into a firm's operational style and client relations. Reviews for Kirk Palmer & Thigpen PA offer a mixed perspective. On one hand, a client highly recommends the firm, stating, "Stephanie Daniel and her team worked for me and with me to navigate my estate issues as well as the administration of the estate. Stephanie has superior knowledge in her field, is efficient and is committed to her clients and their success. Highly recommend!" This positive feedback highlights superior knowledge, efficiency, and commitment in handling estate-related matters.

Conversely, another review raises significant concerns regarding communication and perceived lack of transparency, stating, "I was lied to about a few things. The lies were fact, not speculation and the indivual whom was supposed to keep in touch, did not do what was supposed to have been done. Thr lack of return emails and phine calls is really what made the situation worse when it could have been better." This client expresses extreme dissatisfaction, noting, "I have never had issues with attorneys, thier firm or their paralegals which ever side i have been on with them; however i do now. I will have issues now and i will start to make known what grievences my family and I had becasue of galse help misleading guidance." This review indicates that potential clients should prioritize clear communication and confirm expectations regarding responsiveness and representation. It also points to the importance of understanding who the firm represents, as this review specifically mentions "the company they represent, First Service Residential, that financially harmed me." This suggests the firm may represent corporate entities, which can sometimes lead to perceived conflicts for individual clients.

The office building is situated in a commercial hub, which typically means proximity to various amenities and likely access to public transportation options. For those driving, there are often parking solutions available in the vicinity, though it's always advisable to confirm parking availability, especially during peak hours. This strategic placement underscores the firm's presence in a key North Carolina city, aiming to provide convenient access to their legal services for a broad client base. The professional environment of their office aims to provide a conducive setting for client consultations and legal discussions.

Based on the provided client review, a clear area of service for Kirk Palmer & Thigpen PA is:

  • Estate Law and Estate Administration: One client specifically praised Stephanie Daniel and her team for their "superior knowledge in her field" and efficiency in navigating "estate issues as well as the administration of the estate." This strongly indicates that the firm has a dedicated practice in wills, trusts, probate, and the comprehensive management of estates.

While the provided information highlights estate law, general legal practices like Kirk Palmer & Thigpen PA often offer a broader range of services. Based on common practice areas for firms of their size and location, potential additional services could include:

  • Business Law: Assistance with corporate formation, contracts, and other legal matters for small to medium-sized businesses.
  • Civil Litigation: Representation in various non-criminal disputes.
  • Family Law: While not explicitly mentioned in reviews, this is a common offering for general practice firms.

However, it's crucial for prospective clients to contact the firm directly to ascertain their complete list of services and confirm if their specific legal needs align with the firm's current areas of expertise. The second review, mentioning a dispute with "First Service Residential," suggests that the firm may also represent corporate entities or handle cases involving homeowner associations or property management.

Kirk Palmer & Thigpen PA exhibits several features that are important for prospective clients in North Carolina to consider:

  • Expertise in Estate Law: As highlighted by a positive client review, the firm, particularly through Stephanie Daniel, possesses "superior knowledge" and efficiency in handling estate issues and administration. This suggests a strong specialization and reliable service in this complex area of law.

Conversely, it is important to acknowledge that one review points to significant concerns regarding communication and perceived transparency, including "lack of return emails and phone calls" and allegations of being "lied to." This suggests that prospective clients should prioritize a discussion about communication protocols and ensure clear expectations regarding responsiveness and the firm's role. It also indicates that the firm may represent corporate entities, which could be a factor for individuals considering their services if there's a potential for conflict of interest.

As with many professional legal services firms, Kirk Palmer & Thigpen PA typically does not advertise "promotions" or "special offers" in the consumer retail sense. Law practices adhere to professional guidelines that govern how they market their services and fees. However, for North Carolina residents considering legal representation, it is standard practice to inquire about certain initial arrangements and fee structures.

Prospective clients should consider:

  • Initial Consultations: It is common for law firms to offer an initial consultation. This meeting allows the potential client to discuss their legal situation, for the attorneys to assess the case, and for both parties to determine if there is a suitable fit. The terms of such consultations (e.g., whether it's free, a flat fee, or billed hourly) should be clarified directly with the firm.
  • Fee Structure Transparency: During the consultation, it is crucial to discuss the firm's billing practices. This could involve hourly rates, flat fees for specific services, or retainer agreements. Understanding how costs are calculated and what to expect financially is a key part of engaging legal services.

Given the mixed client feedback, particularly concerning communication, it would be especially prudent for anyone considering Kirk Palmer & Thigpen PA to use an initial consultation to thoroughly discuss not only the legal aspects of their case but also the firm's communication policy and the specific attorney who will be handling their matter. This proactive approach can help manage expectations regarding responsiveness and the overall client experience.

I won't get in to specifics, that's not needed here but what I will say is that when I showed in person to address the situation at hand, (just to be clear, it was a surpise that i showed uo as I was on my luch break snd just decided to see what was happening). I was lied to about a few things. The lies were fact, not speculation and the indivual whom was supposed to keep in touch, did not do what was supposed to have been done. Thr lack of return emails and phine calls is really what made the situation worse when it could have been better. I have never had issues with attorneys, thier firm or their paralegals whoch ever side i have been on with them; however I do now. I will have issues now and i will start to make known what grievences my family and I had becasue of galse help misleading guidance. By leaving this poor review here, I am starting the ground work on making things right against the company they represent, First Service Residential, that financially harmed me which in turn affected my kids, really my whole family and I can't stand by that. I hope to change this review by working with someone from this firm to help settle the issue at hand, but from what I can tell and personal expirence as well, the help would not be forthright and the firm would probably promptly ignore the problem any way.

This is either a very bad law firm or they deliberately did a very poor job because I was black and just took my money. I hired an attorney there to close my estate, 2 years and $21,000.00 later still is not closed. The attorney thought because I received a partial payment he felt that he did something but he did not do what I hired him to do which was to close the estate because the administrator cut off all contact with the beneficiaries. I fired him him 3 times and 2 times I let him talk me into hiring him back.I didn't the 3rd time. Each time I went to court afterwards he stood there with his hand out asking for a payment for a job that I hired him to do which he did not complete hired him in October of 2019 he did file to court he was representing me u after taking my $4000.00 retainer until January of 2020 and it was down hill the rest of the way. It was like paying for 4 tires and only getting 2. I would not recommend them to represent anybody even if your charge was an expired tag.
