As you read the reviews , you will see that everybody says that he has your best interest in mind . Well if you don't have your children's best interest in mind and then he will not have your children's best interest in mind so I guess apparently it's really not about the children . If you are going to try some evil conniving stuff to manipulate your children or to lessen their contact with their other parent. If you are not willing to co-parent and don't want to co-parent and want the other parent out of your child's life. This is the man to get. I have three teenage daughters whom they tried to pull some Court shenanigans. You see here in North Carolina with joint custody the parents can't move out of state with the children. You see my ex-wife from New York and the only family that loved her was her mother because her mother stole her away from her daddy. Well in order for her to try to move my children to New York my ex-wife and this man thought it was a good idea to try to make me look like a bad father. Basically I've been a playdate for my children. And then I bought them a home. But we won't get into those details. Anyway, this man and my ex-wife got it so that I can't see my kids until I do certain things. Now the age of my children at this time are 15 13 and 12. I raised my kids since birth. Well the judge said in court that she still not allowed to leave the state of North Carolina with my children and I asked him to repeat that and he did. Yet the court order that he signed had a little sentence slipped in there stating that my ex-wife can leave North Carolina if she deems it necessary. Now Mr Porterfield and I know that the judge didn't say that. Then on the last day of Court Mr porterfield's bright idea was to put a no contact order between me and my three teenage children in hopes that I would show up like I did on their birthdays when their mom had me arrested for showing up at their birthdays with gifts. It's sad when a mom stands in the corner and smiles at you as she dials the phone. When she knows good and well that the judge said I'm allowed to be with my children in public and last I checked Monkey Joe's was a public place. If you don't want me showing up at my kid's birthdays have their birthday parties at your house. But that was a long ago story that was when she first left me for the 19-year-old that lived up the street with his mother. That was 2010 s***. I spent close to $30,000 just to get joint custody of my kids for that long. Even though the first judge was upset that I signed the settlement agreement. The first judge said he would have given me full custody of my kids. And my children and I won't be in the position we are in today if it wasn't for this family court system. Well anyways back to the story. So they were hoping that I would show up and violate this no contact order that they put between me and my three teenage children. But I'm not playing this game anymore with my children. I am an adult now. I'm an angry adult now. Because I have three teenage children who haven't been able to see or speak to their father or his family since 2018. The last thing I said to my three teenage daughters in 2018 was, your mom's going to take you away from me forever. And then my children laughed and called me a liar. And that was the last time they ever got to see or speak to their father ever again. Or their grandmother, or their cousins and aunts and uncles in Virginia, or there cousins and aunts and uncles in New York, Or their uncles in Alabama, Florida, and my children will never see the beautiful mountain that I bought for them in Tennessee at 622 dry Hollow Road Elizabethton. These girls will never see their father ever again because of this man. This is where the real child abuse in America starts and ends

I could not be happier with my decision to have Mr. Porterfield represent me! He represented me in a high conflict child custody that went to trial, followed by appeals. He is highly knowledgeable, professional, respectful, and very client service-focused. He delivered excellent outcomes (many trials and defending the appeals) in a very difficult and complex case. One of his true assets is written legal part both before submitting and after trial case! He takes the time to explain what could happen worse and best case scenario. This is so valuable (during a stressful time in a person life) as it helps you prepare for the trial. In my case when I asked Mr. Porterfield with his experience what did he think the Judge would do he was spot on! He has represented me in trails too many time to count, not say he did his best to settle out of court just the other party wasn't reasonable. He is an amazing trail attorney, seriously a beast in the court room. Mr. Porterfield truly cares for the safety of the child or children involved. Extremely rear even in the worst situations I have sole custody, there is no visits or contact from the other party... I can never thank you enough Mr. Porterfield for doing what you do and keeping my family safe! Hands down best attorney in Charlotte!

I found Mr. Porterfield through online reviews, so I hope this helps others as theirs helped me. I am thrilled with his work. He is extremely professional and intelligent and follows through exactly when and how he states he will. He will keep you focused on what is important and absolutely has only your interests in mind; he will fight for you. And his billing is clear, extremely fair and very detailed. Colleen is awesome as well. If you are searching for a divorce attorney, call Mr. Porterfield. You will be very pleased you did.
