I need help reaching the Guardian Ad Litem. I paid the retainer and now nobody’s calling me back and I really need this help for court. miss Courtney has never contacted my child or me for an interview. Never mind because at this point, I’ve just contacted the Florida bar association and we’re going to go that route. They told me I wasn’t the first. ~Hyperlink Security. The worst !!!!! The only reason there is one star is because I couldn’t give zero. Coming from a guardian ad litem that has kids I was astounded. The child’s best interest was not at heart, as she continued to make excuses for my violent, aggressive and erratic ex. She sat on our case for over a year, never making any sort of report, but continually making excuses for my exes, poor behavior. During mediation, my attorney looked at me and discussed how floored she was with Courtney’s inappropriate behavior and questioning was towards me. She did no follow up or interviews with important people and mentors in my child’s life. The only conversation she ever had was with his dad. If your child needs all of your best interest, and that is what you’re fighting for, do not work with this firm. This GAL loves to collect a paycheck but doesn’t want to work and when she does, will always try to level the field for the high conflict member. Take a look at all the decent reviews, they are from other lawyers and professionals that are probably getting kick backs from each other. There would be a lot more truthful reviews on here if there wasn't so much fear of repercussion for telling the truth in the legal world.

I have used Courtney Bowes as a mediator and Guardian Ad Litem numerous times over the span of my career. She is always professional and courteous. She has a knack for putting client's at ease from the minute they walk into the door. Divorce is a stressful time and Courtney is at her best when she can defuse a situation and make you feel comfortable and calm. She is highly recommended!

Can I give her zero stars? Ms. Bowes is the worst. She was hired as a GAL for my custody case. She has a very nice and pleasant personality at the beginning of our very difficult and contentious case. She started out very sympathetic and caring especially considering I have a daughter and a victim of domestic violence. Then as time went on for no apparent reason she started to side with my ex who is violent and erratic. After 2 years she finally writes her report and suggests that my daughter goes to a school midway between me and my ex when the school is really closer to him. Then wgen I am interviewed by my ex attorney Ms. Bowes chimes in and attacks me and questions me. She was very unprofessional. Then she tells my attorney that she is changing her report and its not going to be good for me. She basically forced me to agree to everything my ex wanted. I don’t understand how she thinks that my daughter is better off with a violent abuser. After reading the reviews, I have to agree that she has an issue with mothers and I notice the positive reviews are from lawyers who are probably her friends. Beware of using this attorney as a GAL, she does not have your child’s best interest.

Courtney Bowes is an outstanding mediator. She has settled a number of tough cases for me, and she gets the job done. I can't even remember a time when she didn't get the case settled. I have known her for more than 10 years, and she has a great touch in the mediation conference. Everyone feels comfortable, and she doesn't play favorites. That's why she is one of mine.
