Kim and her team are true professionals. She has both the mind and heart anyone wishes for in an attorney when going through something terrible. My questions were always thoroughly answered and timely, their compassion was palatable, and every step of the way I felt like I had exactly the right person in my corner. I never want to go through anything like I went through again, but if I do... I know who I'm calling again. Thank you Kim, and your team. Big love.

The firm's address at 100 E St Vrain St, Suite 200, places Vigil & Alford, PLLC in a key area of Colorado Springs. This central location suggests a professional office environment, which is typical for a law firm. While specific details about the interior design or client amenities are not provided in the testimonials, a suite within such a building generally offers a private and confidential setting essential for client consultations and handling sensitive legal matters. The accessibility of the office in downtown Colorado Springs would be a benefit for local clients, allowing for convenient in-person meetings. Clients can readily contact Vigil & Alford, PLLC by phone at (719) 632-4333 or via mobile at +1 719-632-4333, ensuring direct communication channels for inquiries and scheduling appointments.
Based on the client reviews, Vigil & Alford, PLLC, and specifically attorney Kim, appear to focus on personal injury cases, with a clear emphasis on car accidents. One client describes suffering a "concussion with likely permanent damage to my frontal lobe" as a "victim in a car accident in 2015." This strongly indicates that the firm handles complex personal injury claims, including those involving significant medical issues and long-term consequences. The firm's involvement in securing a "settlement" for the client further confirms their role in personal injury litigation and negotiation. The discussions around medical bills and their negotiation ("negotiate a waiver or a significant deduction in light of how their substandard record keeping hurt my case") also point to expertise in managing the financial aftermath of accidents, including liens and billing disputes. For users searching 'Lawyers Near Me' after being involved in a car accident or suffering personal injuries, Vigil & Alford, PLLC positions itself as a relevant legal service provider.
The features of Vigil & Alford, PLLC, as described by clients, present a contrasting picture. On the positive side, one client offers high praise, stating, "Kim and her team are true professionals. She has both the mind and heart anyone wishes for in an attorney when going through something terrible." This testimonial highlights qualities such as professionalism, intelligence ("mind"), compassion ("heart"), thoroughness in answering questions, timeliness in responses, and palpable empathy. The client felt consistently supported ("every step of the way I felt like I had exactly the right person in my corner") and expressed a strong desire to retain the firm again if faced with a similar situation. These attributes paint a picture of a firm that is deeply committed to client well-being and provides strong advocacy during difficult times.
However, another review raises significant concerns regarding communication, follow-through, and client satisfaction. While acknowledging "I enjoy Kim as a person," this client details a lengthy and unresolved issue concerning the negotiation of a substantial medical bill ($20,000.00) following their car accident settlement. Specific points of concern include: a verbal promise from Kim to negotiate a waiver or significant deduction of the bill due to "substandard record keeping" by doctors, a promise to provide a detailed email update by the end of 2018 which was never received, a waiting period of approximately a full year with settlement money held by the firm, and a lack of follow-through on responsibilities and promises despite written requests for information. The client expresses disappointment and the intention to file a complaint against the doctors, but the review's direct implications for the firm's handling of the post-settlement phase are clear.
From a promotional standpoint, the firm's positive testimonial serves as a strong endorsement, emphasizing the compassionate, professional, and supportive nature of Kim and her team. This narrative would be beneficial for attracting clients who are looking for empathetic legal counsel during traumatic experiences. The client's assertion, "I know who I'm calling again," is a powerful promotional statement, indicating high satisfaction and trust in the firm's abilities.
Conversely, the negative review significantly impacts the firm's overall promotional message. The detailed account of unmet promises, lack of communication, and funds being held for an extended period creates a substantial counter-narrative. For potential clients searching 'Lawyers Near Me,' this review introduces a critical element of caution, specifically regarding post-settlement follow-through and communication. The client's explicit statement, "I will take this down if things change and Kim follows through on her promises," underscores the gravity of the unresolved issue and serves as a public call for accountability. While the firm likely aims to promote its empathy and advocacy, this negative feedback highlights potential inconsistencies in service delivery and client management, particularly in the critical final stages of a case.
In summary, Vigil & Alford, PLLC, located in Colorado Springs, appears to specialize in personal injury cases, offering services to clients affected by car accidents. The firm, led by attorney Kim, has received praise for its professionalism, compassion, and strong advocacy, instilling confidence in clients during challenging periods. However, significant concerns have been raised by another client regarding a lack of follow-through on promises and communication post-settlement, particularly concerning the negotiation of medical bills. For potential clients seeking legal representation through 'Lawyers Near Me,' it is crucial to consider both the praised qualities of empathetic support and the critical feedback regarding communication and adherence to commitments when evaluating Vigil & Alford, PLLC for their legal needs.

Dec 29, 2022 · Allison PearmanI enjoy Kim as a person. As a victim in a car accident in 2015 I suffered a concussion with likely permanent damage to my frontal lobe and I could not think for myself. The settlement came a year ago. Disappointing primarily because the doctors who treated me for 18 months did not keep standard records of my treatment. Their bill (over $20,000.00) has yet to be paid to the best of my knowledge because it was Kim's promise to me that she would negotiate a waiver or a significant deduction in light of how their substandard record keeping hurt my case. Kim verbally promised she would settle the matter by the end of 2018 and that she would email me a detailed update with her progress in Dec. of 2018. Sadly, I never got an email update nor did I get any notice of her negotiating a waiver for their bill. I have waited approximately 1 full year thus far with over $20,000 of my settlement money sitting in her bank account waiting for her to negotiate a reduction to this bill. My last written request for information was Jan. 24th 2019. In light of this experience I am writing this google review for Kim’s Legal Practice. I also will be filing a complaint (specifically for the doctors who treated me) with the state.gov board who licenses them. I will take this down if things change and Kim follows through on her promises. I've been more than patient. I hope it is a case of her just being too busy and not something else at play. However, my expectation is that injured clients like myself need the mightiest of advocates when our lives have been forever altered due to an accident. What do when she does not follow through with her responsibilities and promises.
