Services Offered

Based on client feedback, Connelia Houston's law office appears to specialize in specific areas of legal assistance, particularly those involving crucial personal and property documentation. Her primary services likely include:

  • Will Drafting: A core service, focusing on the meticulous preparation of Last Will and Testaments. This ensures that clients' wishes regarding the distribution of their assets and care of minor children are legally documented and enforceable in North Carolina.
  • Estate Planning (Basic): While "Will drafting" is specified, this often implies broader basic estate planning, which might include advising on beneficiary designations, and potentially preparing powers of attorney for healthcare and financial matters. The goal is to get "things in order" for clients and their families.
  • Deed Preparation: Assisting clients with the legal drafting and recording of property deeds. This is essential for transferring property ownership, whether it's for a sale, gift, or other change in title, ensuring accuracy and compliance with North Carolina real estate law.

  • Legal Consultations: Providing initial consultations to discuss specific legal needs related to wills, deeds, and similar personal legal matters, guiding clients on the necessary steps and legal requirements.

It is important to note that a client review explicitly states that Ms. Houston "doesn't handle litigation." This indicates a focused practice, primarily dealing with transactional legal work and document preparation rather than court-based disputes. Called to ask about two separate situations. One for deeds and another for litigation matters. First time I called, the secretary was very rude on the phone and just said she would call back when she could. Two days went by so I called back, again the same rude secretary. He again took my information and hung up. Ms. Houston called me back and said that she doesn't handle litigation so I said that's fine she could help me with the other situation. She said to find another attorney that would handle both. But I needed help then with the deed, but she did not want to take my case. It would be in everyone's best interest if she removed herself from the services she doesn't provide since it was a waste for me to wait for a call to then be told that she wouldn't help at all.

Attorney Houston was not only professional but demonstrated compassion as we discussed sensitive subjects to ensure the safety of my family’s legacy. I will continue use her legal services.

Connelia handled a case for me a while back and I was completely satisfied with her service. I had a LOT of questions and struggled to get everything she needed, but she was patient with me and gave me good guidance on every move. I would not only recommend her, but would use her again.

Received a call back from a very RUDE attorney Connelia Houston. I read the reviews prior to calling but thought I would try anyway. This is not someone that should be referred to by the company that referred them. I will surely let them know how rude he was when he called. And if your not able to assist why are you on the list? Remove yourself so that no one else will waste their time calling you.
